Pinkie Pie Used To Be PURPLE?

So early today, I was trying to organize some of my MLP merchandise for a new collection display and I found a G3 pamphlet from 2003 (I think it came with Moondancer). I briefly looked through it out of curiousity and I saw something pretty interesting:

Apparently Pinkie Pie, the famously pink pony, was originally purple when she was still in the prototype phase! I was honestly pretty surprised.

There were a few other prototype ponies in the pamphlet that I might share if people are interested!
 
Her first g3 versions were a dark almost purple, pink.
 
She also has a second heart, riiiight above her blue one. Pretty neat! Wish she could have been released like that

Yep, all of the ponies I saw in the pamphlet had additional hoof hearts! A lot of their cutie marks were also slightly larger as well, like Pinkie's is in the picture. I'll definitely have to get more prototype photos on this thread; some of the differences are cool!

That was the very first G3 pamphlet, and *should* have come with most of the early G3's, Sunny Daze was my first of G3 and she definitely had one. Definitely came with the first year ponies, anyway, all of those featured in it came with one. With some later ponies I think they added to the back some other merch and things, originally I believe it was a colouring page, with all of the actual items on one side. So that's how you can tell a really early insert.
