I know full body paints can be done correctly and the pony can still feel like a real pony, but has anyone else tried methods of using dye to change a pony color? I've heard kool-aid works (if you've tried it,and wouldn't mind sharing how that method works, ;)) and I've tried RIT dyes...wasn't too happy with the result. What about food coloring or some type of vegetable dye? Post your methods if you dare :D I'd love to hear. At the moment, I'm thinking of a way to dye peachy aqua, and darken Cotton Candy's color.

I've used RIT and Kool Aid - both with no success. And I was using darker dyes (greens and blues) on light (white and pale pink) ponies.

I'm eager to hear stories as well. :)

I've used RIT dye to dye, hm, at least five ponies. All times I have been successful, except when I used Kelly Green. The pony turned out sort of an odd, ugly shade of green. Not what I was going for! :|

However, when I did my most recent dying, it turned out fine! A little more blue than I had wanted her to be, but I blame my mom, who said yellow would dye green. You just need to carefully monitor the pony, have enough dye in, and soak the pony in vinegar once she's done dying. So far I've had no fading issues, and they are all vibrant ponies!
