Came home to a very exciting package today!! My ponies from @CJ Thimble Bright arrived safe and sound!!! Now I'm 5/6 of the way to completing the Sundae Best line, and 3/4 to completing the Rainbow Curls!! I've been hunting for a deal on these ponies for AGES now. Really looking forward to giving these ladies a spa day :lolpony: (....when I get the chance, LOL. I may or may not also have also just picked up a lot of 42 monster high dolls from FB marketplace today that need some TLC. When it rains it pours!)

Oh my gosh! So many lovely ponies! Who is your favorite?

Also, that's exciting! You're so close to completing two sets! Is Merry Go Rounds next? :winkpony:

Ahhh it's so hard to choose, but I've been in a real Ringlet mood lately so probably her!!
Maybe merry go rounds... I might focus on just grabbing random ponies that I like instead of sets for awhile!! Either way, it'll have to wait because I'm officially banning myself from buying ponies or dolls for awhile LOL!! #Restraint

(Ah I meant to quote both in one post!!)
Beautiful! How exciting! But… 42 MH?!? Wow!!
YES!!!! I've never bought a big MH lot before because they're always so dang expensive for dolls that are missing most of their parts, but I found this local listing of 42 almost-complete dolls with NO missing limbs for $175 this morning and jumped right in my car to go get them!!!!

Are you going to share a picture of the doll lot? I'm curious how big a pile of 42 is!

That's a lot of cleaning. Do you prefer to clean one or two at a time or do you clean them in bunches?

I used to find MH and some other jointed dolls at a local Goodwill outlet years ago. Most would be missing something, but I realize now I should have grabbed them since there's people that need parts. I did grab a fully complete/new looking Gilda Goldstag even though I'm not a doll collector. It seemed wrong to leave her to be damaged.

I can confirm, it's a big ol pile!! As for cleaning: I went through and took pictures of every doll individually as soon as I got home, because I always like having Before pictures to reference :) Then I removed and sorted all the clothes and accessories into little bags so I can clean without worrying about losing any microscopic jewelry LOL!! from here I'll probably do initial cleaning like disinfecting/ oxi clean baths in a couple big groups because I like knowing the things in my house are germ-free, and then any more particular cleaning and touchups will be done a couple dolls at a time. I also plan to use some of the more common/poorer condition/still-produced G3 dolls for customs as well, so some will get stripped rather than restored.

Gilda is such a pretty doll!! It's a shame they never did more releases of her.

Uhhh.. I don't think you were asking for that long of a rant in response LMAO-- sorry!!! I've never been accused of brevity in my life.

Me either. lol

And thanks for sharing that pic. You really lucked out. Most of the dolls are clothed. :lolpony:

I usually let stuff pile up and then wash a dozen or more at a time. And then I have the dilemma of whether I have enough curlers.

At one point I was sending my neices toys. I still have several Bratz, g3.5 and 4, and some miscellaneous toys I should do something with.

Oooh what a haul!! (The ponies too lol!) I customize too, its strangely satisfying to wipe off their faces and pull all the hair gunk out

Do you wash the dolls with oxi too? I never thought of doing that!

Yeah! Oxi is a nice fairly gentle cleaner for most things that aren't metal. In this case I'll mostly be doing it because these dollies have a biiiit of cigarette smell in them and it should help a bit with that.
