I have one that's practially near mint, only has a slight scratch on one eye that I'm thinking of trading and was just wondering what she's worth?

I got her and baby sapphire(she's staying) but I'm just not as crazy about ruby as I thought I'd be :( Thanks in advance for your help!

In that condition you might be able to get up to $50, or at least $40. I might be way off though, she seems to go for around $30 but she's kinda hard to find in such nice condition.

Maybe sell the ring separatey, Strawberry Fair? People usually just need the accessories, if they already have the baby.

I have an excellent condition Ruby with her ring (mint condition) that I can't seem to sell for the life of me, priced at $60. :(

*Drools profusely* Back in 2000 when UKs were all that and more, I paid $65 for mine w/ no ring - her tinsel's crinkly, she's got an eyerub... but she was worth it then. ;) Plus, I was at my very first Pony meet - the Delaney's Pony Palooza! I bought her from Baby Abacus - anyone know who she is?

Er... sorry, can't help.

The name Baby Abacus rings a bell...I think I bought a few things from her once on ebay a few years ago:)

But thank you for the help! The $50ish and up range is what I remember them going for...

..

I bought my ruby with her necklace and ring for only 75. And she was near mint. Baby ruby is the least wanted out of the three babies. Strawberry Fair I bet if you put her on ebay she'd sell, but then again ebay has those listing fees.(rolls eyes to the listing fees)

I got mine for about $20ish on UK ebay a few years ago. Her tinsel is kinda messed up though but I like her. :)

There were...issues...with Baby Abacus, and I think she just fell out of sight. A bit of trouble with ponies not being in great shape and overly priced. I won't go into details, but that was the majority of trouble I was aware of with her.

And MLPsayuri got a DEAL! She bought that from me...I know, I probably should have charged more, but Baby Ruby had a nice couple of letters written across her butt, so really, I didn't see her worth more than probably $15 or so, because of the pen.

Just Baby Ruby, in good condition, I would think around $40. Just wait, though, if it seems a bit cheap. I know for a while, Baby Diamond was going for $25 because everyone and their sister had one for sale! Now, she's not quite as easily found, so her price has gone up. Same with Ruby. There seem to be a few more of her around lately, so her price has dropped. Wait a bit, and her price will more than likely go up. Or just hold on to her for trading. You may get a nice deal in a trade, since people seem to be a bit more generous when they are getting rid of things they have in the way! :D

Thanks for the help everyone:) I was going to trade her but I just purchased a very expensive custom painted resin horse(my other passion!)where only 60 of this model were made.

I was offered $50 for baby ruby by someone here and I accepted it:) *she went out today by the way!* I'll miss her but this horse was oh soooo worth it!

*thinks about getting rid of sapphire too..* she's cute but these jewelry babies just aren't wowing me for some reason:( I'd almost rather make myself some G3 versions

Oh! So glad you got rid of her! (That didn't sound right, lol, but you know what I mean. ^-^) And that resin horse is GORGEOUS! Oh what a beautiful model! *Drools*

As far as Baby Abacus goes, really? Lol. I don't think I ever came across her online - just at that meet. :) I didn't make it over to any forums for years after I first got online, lol - just browsed pages and eventually made my own. Oh, gosh, I need sleep, I keep going ot! o_O And it's early for me, too...

Hehe, I know what you mean, lol. That horse was a BIN for $475 *choaks* but I own 2 other customs painted by the same artist and I just HAD to have her! Plus, I show my models and this one has potential to make it all the way to nationals this year in KY so I hit that BIN button with out even thinking, lol. Thank gosh for once I had money so she didn't go on the credit card! Gotta love tax returns :D

Wow! But I guess she's worth it - she really does look fabulous! And I didn't know that pple showed their customs, lol. Also, where in Kentucky? I'll have to come see you if it's near here and if you make it! :p

Yup! People show customs, chinas, resins, and plastic horses just like you would a real horse:) My last show I cleaned up the show rings with over 50 ribbons:) Only 11 were national qualifiers (1st & 2nd places) but still, not bad! The nationals change locations every year, but this year NAN(north american nationals) is going to be in Lexington, KY July 24th-27th, I forget where exactly. I probably won't go but that same weekend Breyer (the company that makes most of the plastic models) throws a huge festival in Lexington at the KY Horse Park( I go every year!) and it just happens to be the same weekend from the 28th-30th:) That friday is the huge Breyerfest Live Model horse show (it's like the biggest show of the year next to NAN!) and I'll be there, so maybe you can get a day pass and have a look around:) It's a lot of fun even if your not a big horse person! Plus, I met Debra Birge there a couple years, last year I met Rowdy_Cowgirl and traded a G3 so soft baby for one of her horses, and almost every year there's a few people with ponies too:) I'm staying at the 4 points Sheradon but the holiday Inn North down the road is where every one stays and has all their rooms open with horses galore for sale! And saturday they'll have a swap meet in the ballroom and that's where I normally find the ponies:)

Keep an eye on breyer's website www.breyerhorses.com (they haven't updated it in like a year! but you can still read a bit about last years fest:)

Wow! That sounds so exciting! Perhaps Mom and I can go - we used to go to Equitana USA (three years we went) at the expo center, but they quit having it here - I don't know if they do it different places like that or not, but we went to look it up online a few years ago (we'd gone the past three), and... they weren't having it here. I don't remember if they were having it somewhere else or what, but we were so disappointed. :\ Soo... I'll pose this to Mom, and maybe we can find a new yearly horse-thing to do together! :D We both are horse-nuts, even though we don't own any real ones. ;) Plus my mom used to have a bunch of Breyers - she loves them, but they're just too expensive to keep up w/ right now, lol.

What does it cost for a one-day pass? (I could look on the website - going to bed for now, though, lol.)

..

OMG that has to be the most beautiful horse figure I have ever seen. So its there isn't another one like it huh? Because it was custom painted. I want one of those. lol Are they breyers?

Yeah it's a shame about Equitana USA, I never got to go, but they just stopped. Ginger Royals (I believe she was the designer of all the horses) goes to BF every year though, you can always pick out her booth cause it has a big hot pink sign that says "The Ginger Horse" on it and they usually have all the models from those events to sell:)

I've always been a total horse nut, just never lived anywhere I could have a real one! My parents never understood, but my fiance and his family have gone the past few years with me and they always enjoy it:) Adult 3-day passes are $65 until April 30th then they jack it to $80 *ouch* but then you get a free traditional sized Celebration model and a ticket to purchase 2 of the special run models(which are always very saught after). I haven't seen them offer 1-day's yet (again, they're WAY behind on updating the website:p) but I think they're about $25, you get a little stablemate, and I think you can just buy them at the gate;) The 3-day pass though is totally worth it! There's no way you can see and do everything in one day, and at least you wouldn't have to pay for a hotel;)

I'm sure people here a sick of me yapping about breyerfest, but feel free ta email me or pm if you have any more questions:)

Hehe, that's right, her paint job is one of a kind;) She's not a breyer, but an artists resin. She was scupted by hand by the tallented Debbi Lermond http://www.horsemodels.com/ and then sent to someone who will cast them in resin. Only 60 copies total were made and sold unpainted. Those will usually run for about $200-$300 unpainted! Then you have to find an artist willing to paint it, or buy one from ebay;) Painted ones like mine will run about $400 and up depending on how saught after the artist is. I own a few breyers painted by the person who did this one, she has a few for sale in ebay now, so maybe check her out:) Her ebay ID is montecello_studios. This resin is sold out, but keep an eye on ebay. If you go here http://www.equineresindirectory.com/ and search for the "resin name" Rasha you can see a few other painted ones that people own;)

You can also find some other resins for sale at http://www.resinsbyrandy.com/resintoc.html
