Proper hair length for rehaired ponies

Hey everyone - long time lurker, first time poster here. I really appreciate this site and the people who take time to ask and answer questions. This time I have a request for help, but I'm hoping it will help anyone who is into restoration.

I've been really into restoring ponies lately and want to write up guidelines of sorts for hair length. In my case, I have a bunch of bald G1s and wasn't sure how long to make the new hair to bring them back to their original look. So, I dug into my stash (which is *mostly* G1 ponies) and began measuring the hair lengths of different styles - seems it's different depending on whether they are earth ponies, pegasus, unicorns...

My problem is I can't make a full list because I only have G1s and some G3's in my possession, so I was hoping some of you with G2, G3, and G4 ponies could help me out.

If you have a moment (and a ruler), can you please pass along some measurements for one or two of your G2/G3/and or G4 ponies? Please let me know the name of it so I can note that. Thank you SO much in advance!!
 
Well WELCOME! Looks like you've been lurking longer than I've been around. :)
I love restoration.

It seems that the G2s are a little more conforming. At least mine are. I would expect a little difference in international releases naturally but, these ponies come from all over and seems to have pretty consistent hair length. The only ones that were a little different depending on type were the two out of the Wedding Carriage Release that I got from France.

Ok, just updated the list. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to measure them! Yeah I joined a very long time ago and then got busy with life and dropped out for a while, unfortunately! I'm getting back into the swing of things now and this place has been wonderful to catch up a little bit! Thank you again!
