It wouldn't cost that much to fit the holes into the plastic would it? Maybe if they did this the pony itself may not be as sturdy for children's play? At least they are making a chrysalis.

Painted holes? Really? And I don't particularly like the back paint either, or that you can still see the princess boot things. Angel is not impressed; sorry Hasbro.

Wow! She is sweet! Woo woo! Love the colours..awww..

WOW what cheap move Hasbro. Would it really cost that much to do a new mould for her? Really? Come on! I'm not all that surprised as the blind bags only have about 8.

Is that just a Celestia molded in black plastic? Kinda lame.

oohh neat! I'm really glad that they made her but I do too wish she looked a little more realistic. She's awesome none the less.

Repainting over the Celestia mold is rather cheap, but I can understand the painted holes in her legs. It would be risky to put holes in those hollow ponies without having excessive factory damage. "Swiss cheese" legs would probably do better on a solid plastic sculpt.

I'll probably look for her when she's released in stores, although I think she would look much better with a sculpt all to her own.

(I apologize in advance for the following, I'm not getting uppity or anything, just poking fun at the whole thing. I just couldn't resist!)

Chrysalis has Celestia's mold? That's preposterous! I mean, it's not like reusing molds is exactly what Hasbro's been doing for the last 30 years or anything! Isn't that right, Applejack-I mean Bow Tie-I mean Sundance? Maybe we should ask Glory-I mean Twilight-I mean Majesty's opinion on this matter! Oh no! She's keeping a giant robot out of Dream Castle! I think his name is Thundercracker-I mean Skywarp-I mean Starscream!

But seriously now. I kind of wanted Queen Chrysalis for my Kathleen Barr army, but don't think I could spare the expense. I have other things, even other ponies I'm more interested in... And I'm pretty sure her price will be pretty high even after the set comes out. So yeah.

I like her eye paint, though.

I'm happy they made a pony of her- but boy, she is kind of cheaply made

No word yet when we'll see these in stores. Since the set will have the same number as the last TRU favorites set, I expect the price will be the same.

There have been a bunch on taobao too- but never for less than $30-something.

Gonna skip this one and pick up the blind-bag sized version instead. At least that one has a dedicated mold.

I think we've all been spoiled by seeing some breath-takingly done custom versions of her where customizers drilled holes through the legs x_____x

I'd expect Hasbro to come up with something better than customizers... but then again maybe Hasbro just needs to hire some customizers to work for them.

It all comes down to their tooling budget on these sets. Being an exclusive set, and therefore probably a much lower manufacturing run than their regular releases, the cost per unit would be high, so their budget would be very tight. It's not surprising to me that she doesn't get her own mold here, though a little disappointing.

Of course the only Toys'R'Us in my province closed...

She'd be cute to make modifications to, like holes and trimming off the princess boots, and properly colored mane and tail.

Her expression is sort of friendly.

The painted holes don't really bother me. I'm not too keen on seeing Celestia's horse shoes though. Couldn't they have sanded them down some? lol.
