I'm not going to be collecting pretty much any more. I'm selling everything I could get anything for. Can I still be on here occasionally?

Course you can. You still have friends on here. And its not like you aren't allowed to talk about anything else. Hugs hugs hugs

The herd would never throw you out friends stick by friends no matter what

I know several people on these forums that do no have pony collections but have fond memories of ponies, love ponies and enjoy hanging out with pony people and making friends. That is the true purpose of the collector community. You don't need a collection to have a lot to offer the community as a member.;)

Thanks everyone. :xmashug:

You can check out any time you like, but you can NEVER LEAVE!

I'm so sorry you're having to sell so much. But all you need is a love of ponies, or a love of people who love ponies so there'd be no reason for you to ever, ever go! We'd miss you so.

Hehehe, I knew someone would know where I was going! :D

It's it really odd that my mind went straight to "where the wild things are"? I have a first edition of it. I can't let it go. It's dedicated to me by my grandma when I was 2. My dad found it when he was getting all my mom's Newberry award books out for Evelyn, and since it clearly has my name in it, they're letting me keep it.

In other news. My other grandma, who passed in August would have turned 80 today. I miss her.

I did not intentionally post that 3 times.

I don't think you ever stop missing your loved ones who have gone on. I still think about things I need to ask my Papaw and he's been gone for almost 2 decades. I like to think they're somewhere wonderful, having a great time and waiting for us to join them.

Oh, I love Where the Wild Things Are! That's one of my favorite children's books of all. I've bought any Maurice Sendak book I see. His illustrations were so wildly clever, and his prose is a delight. I bet you just cherish that book!

One of my other favorites is No Fighting No Biting written by Else Minarik that Sendak illustrated. I quote it constantly when the animals are acting up: "No fighting, no biting! NO fussing, no cussing!" (words I should live by since I cuss like a sailor...)

The computer is haunted! Augh!!!

My dad was a sailor. He hates plumbing, so when he fixed the sink my daughter learned all the "please don't say that when anyone else is around" words.

My dad was ex Army and was a professional level curser. He's say things that probably would've shocked Satan. When one of us kiddos had the stupid idea to repeat anything he'd said, my mom would act shocked and say, "Where did you hear such a word?"

Like she didn't know! :D

Evelyn knows not to say them, but she slips up at home sometimes, so I've been teaching her them in French and German. That way if she slips at school, hopefully nobody will notice.

I'm not a good mom.

Yuck, yuck, yuck! Depo shot, that's ok, mmr booster, because so many parents are no longer vaccinating their children that the death, yes death, rate from mmr has tripled in the last two years and I have an auto immune deficiency, two blood draws from my right hand, fasting since 8pm last night until 9:30 draw, one blood draw from my left hand. Six vials total. I needs a nap. Oh, and my ride, once again, cancelled at the last minute. She still gets paid and gas allowance. I'm out of gas. Then, just to make this day super fantastic, my dad lectured me about how much my mother despises me and thinks I'm a bad mother since my daughter doesn't want to go sleep over at her house. She wants to take my daughter on some overnight trips this summer to the beach and doesn't want to take me and Wesley, too, but won't take Evelyn unless she spends the night at their house first. They live less than five minutes away. Argh!

I always say those words in Japanese.

Your dad Tak sounds like a but hole. Your a Great Mom.

My dad is actually pretty awesome. He just loves my mother more than me. He's pretty much the hardest working person ever, who's put up with that most mental and emotional abuse, he's getting old, he still works his butt off, and he gets so much verbal abuse, but he still stands by my mom, loves, and supports her no matter what.
