Hello! I'm new to collecting but saw the sdcc exclusives announcements and I really want that Majesty. The con finishes today (either 20 minutes ago or 40 from now I think? bleh timezones) and was wondering how soon to expect her for sale on pulse, and how quick I should get there if I want to grab one before they run out. Is there anyone with more collecting experience that can tell me what to expect based on previous years?

It depends- last year's is all over the place fairly cheaply, but some years are very expensive. I'd say there's more of a demand for Majesty. I'd say if you want her badly enough to take the risk and get her. It really depends on the fan's reactions. Or how many are distributed. Hope you can get her!!

Oh I meant on Hasbro pulse, not from resellers. I had an alarm set and refreshed Pulse as soon as the clock ticked over in case it was a matter of minutes, but it seems she's not even up yet. I want to know if I need to stay up all night (it's nearly 1am now where I am) or I'll be safe to check tomorrow afternoon or even next week ^_^

I'm unsure if she'll be up on Hasbro Pulse, given she's a Basic Fun toy. But you never know, perhaps they have a number you can call and ask about?
 
Yeah, I think the only exclusives on Hasbro Pulse are Hasbro’s, like the G3-G4.5 Twilight set. IIRC, didn’t BF had said she was going to be only available at the con? Good luck on getting her though!

Ohhh!! Point remains tho, it depends on how much you want her and if you could handle not getting her. Just judging by Ebay my guess is she's gonna go fast. I dunno 100% tho. I think it'll be ok for the day, but yeah

I cannot call anyone as I have selective mutism, but thanks for the suggestion.

I am disappointed to learn that there's a possibility she won't be on Pulse, but since through-the-years Twilight isn't up yet either, that's not a for-sure thing.

I mainly made this thread as a way to ask if anyone had bought from Pulse before, haha ^^;

I'm not desperate to get her; I won't pay scalper prices, but I'm willing to do refresh-wars to get her at sale price, if I can just find out when that will be! XD
 
I wouldn't hold your breath about her being on Pulse. It's rumored they sold out, and I'm not sure what outlet Basic Fun would sell extras off as. There was a similar situation with the vinyl SDCC exclusive Lickety Splits and Firefly. They went on Hot Topic's website, so I would watch out elsewhere.
The new Twilight set will be up on 8/12.

Thank you for the info! I will go to bed now and check Hot Topic and Pulse intermittently until the twelfth.
I'll also try and find non-phone contact channels with basic fun to ask them if they have extras :smile:

Is there an email you could try? I'm sure she'll appear on Ebay at a good price. Who knows? Maybe she'll be like last years set and be common. Anyway like you said its not for sure so maybe she'll appear on Pulse/Basic Fun's site. <3
 
Basic Fun reported on the Sunday of SDCC that they did indeed sell out of all the Majesty’s that had been produced. There was a lot of con goers that didn’t end up with one.

Hopefully Basic Fun see’s the demand for her and uses her for cons through out the year and makes more available. Otherwise, those of us who didn’t get an SDCC badge this year will have to wait for resellers on eBay and through other third part sellers.

Unfortunately it’s just the way it goes with some con exclusives.

That's so sad!! I hope they do a normal version of her. I'd love to see a Dream Castle repro.
