My seven year old daughter has an ear surgery next Friday called a tympanoplasty. I'm so scared for her. We're avoiding talking about it unless she asks so that I don't get her freaked out, too. :( She's had her tonsils removed and ear tubes, but this surgery is so much more invasive. I'm off the charts anxious! I also ate way too much chocolate.

Oh she is beautiful and the angels will protect her. I can't imagine how anxious you must be. I have never had kids, but the closest thing for me is when the pets go in for surgery I sit on the couch and cry until they are back at home in my arms. They are just fur babies so a human child would probably really mess me over. Big hugs.

I had to go through two major knee surgeries with my pup. He was only 5 months old for the first.

That's the scar from the first one and his leg is shaved from the second surgery with the incision on the inner side of his leg. (Figured it would be better not to show it)

glad she doing good

Aw, she's such a cutie! I'm so glad she's doing well. I bet she's a little firecracker!

So much energy. She doesn't stop until she literally drops to sleep.

Her and Wesley played lots before his injury. He still wants her to play everyday. She thinks yuki is adorable and would love to play. :)

They always have so much energy when they're little! Once they get big enough to be real help they suddenly get all tuckered out. :D

All that growing can really take it out of you. I read a study once that said teenagers (in puberty) need more sleep than infants. It makes sense to me. All the hormonal changes and all the turmoil that causes needs time to process. The unconscious mind handles it much more efficiently.
