I'm not sure if I'll be dressing up this year. It may end up being a quiet evening with my hubby. We do get trick or treaters but we usually have people over and everyone seems to have other stuff going on this year, especially since it's a week night. I do have friends over for a pumpkin carving party a week or so before. That's always fun. Frank will of course be in costume...a stegosaurus this year LOL. Can't wait to post pictures! So what sort of festivities do you ponies have planned? :stirthepot:

I'll probably take my son to our church's Trunk or Treat event... if we stay home I'm going to have a million trick or treaters because our new neighborhood is apparently the place to go trick or treating. I have NO idea what I'm going to dress him as since I'm in the middle of a move and I havent sewed in several weeks now. I do have a half finished cape I might just do that and a mask and be done with it ;) I, however, do not plan to dress up unless I use one of my parents' old costumes.. I think there's a pea pod and potato heads in the closet...

I'll probably get out my good ol' Ravenclaw tie to wear to school (we have uniforms, but we're allowed to accessorize on Halloween), and put on my robes afterward. As far as actual plans go, I don't have any and usually don't make any until the day before. I've actually missed Halloween for the last two years due to a freak snowstorm two years ago and then Hurricane Sandy last year.

I'm in the UK, we don't "do" Halloween so big here, but I work in a nursery and we do get to dress up, last couple of years I was a pirate, then Jessie from Toy Story with the real cowboy boots I bought when we came to Texas last year.

This year, the suggestion was, get a too small orange t-shirt and paint a pumpkin face on it, so my baby-bump is a pumpkin!
I'm not sure wether to laugh or be horrified! :surprisepony:
(you saying pregnant women look like pumpkins? huh huh? oh wait... I do...)

I was going to be Carmen Sandiego and my fiance was going to be Where's Waldo, but I don't know if we have time to get our costumes together. I'm mid opera rehearsals with the show opening right after Halloween so we'll be lucky to go to a party.

We have a cubicle decorating contest here at work, I've run my team's since it started five years ago and I'll be doing it again this year. There's a new twist this year, every team has to have a carved or painted pumpkin (supplied by the company) as part of their display. We're doing the Headless Horseman (not my idea, but we all liked it). He's going to be leaping on horseback out of the wall. I got a cheap mask for the horse head, the body will be paper mache--my first time doing paper mache. We'll see how well that works. If I can't come up with something decent we do have a plan 2 which doesn't require a full horse's body.

Here's last year's entry:

I did almost everything myself. I only had help cutting out the heiroglyphics and gluing them up. We didn't win, what did win was a big store bought skeleton in a cowboy hat that almost reached the ceiling.

You're making me want to do a desk decorating contest at work!! I love it but my coworkers aren't nearly as festive as me, they wouldn't get into it *party poopers*

I have to go to a Halloween party in costume this year, so I'm going to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast in her blue dress. I've just worn cat ears for the past few years.

I'm not sure If I am doing the gothic witch thing again. Im also thinking I have a kimono that I never used so I may as well use it for something. I have bright red hair though..There aren't many asian characters with flaming red hair.

If I could sew - I would so make suki's costume from the last airbender

Work and maybe have a small party on Saturday after Halloween.

If we have a party/dance at the middle school I work at, I may dress as the TARDIS from Doctor Who and see how the cosplay goes over with the kids (I got the dress on Saturday from hot Topic, and I love it as just a dress, forget cosplay! It's comfy!). I have to get the matching headband this weekend. Otherwise, during the day, I will probably just dress up in my 50's gear. It's the other kid-friendly, daytime outfit that the kids in the class I'm in with my girl (the eighth graders) haven't seen yet. Their 6th grade year, they saw my 80's outfit, last year, I dressed as a cowgirl because the new principal wouldn't let us dress up formally, so I'm hoping this year will be different, or I'll be the odd girl out again by wearing a poodle skirt and saddle shoes. XD

I don't dress up anymore I miss doing it though and I miss Trick or Treating.

we never get to do anything for Halloween we are always stuck at Home.

We watch horror Movies and Halloween related Programming on Halloween and we give out gift bags to The Trick or Treaters but we hardly get any cause nobody on our Block hardly turns on Their porch Lights so not Many come down our Street.

The only thing My Mom and I get to do halloween related is go to one of our Local Haunted Houses
Nightmare on 19th Street or Hall of Horror's

Party

In Australia, Halloween isn't celebrated as much. I personally love it! Great reason to make and wear a costume & get together with friends.

I have a friend who's birthday is the 31st of Oct so we normally have a dinner or party where we all wear Halloween costumes. We have been to Karaoke, Roller skating and a number of other things wearing costumes

We are participating in a Zombie Walk which is sort of like a flash mob in our Major City Perth Western Australia. It is advertised on the internet and a bunch of random people meet up in the city during the middle of the day dressed up like zombies to raise money for the brain and spinal research association of Australia.
This year, we are having a Halloween party with about 50 people (quite large for us) We go all out with themed food, prizes, decorations.

Halloween is great.

:black_cat1::bat1: I hope everyone has a scary Halloween :2232::witch1:

I'm going to a halloween party with a couple of friends and I'm dressing up as Strawberry Shortcake.

Not sure what's happening for Halloween as I'm going to be at my boyfriends in Sweden. Think he is planning a party with his family. My suggestion was to do bobbing for apples always loved that game ever since I was little hehe.
Not sure if were dressing up hope we are. I still have a Cat Woman outfit to wear, its the one from the most recent batman film

I'm only dressing up for work, and I can't decide between Star Trek, koala suit, or Stevie Nicks.

As usual, we will have a bunch of candy in a basket, turn on the porch light and pumkins and wait hopefully for the trick or treaters who never come. And then we'll eat all the darn candy ourselves. we're just a little too far off the beaten path, I guess, even with a "development" nearby.

However, this year I'm all excited--ordered a bunch of supplies to make Day of the Dead sugar skullls with. Hope it arrives soon!!
