Hi everyone. Please give me some advice. I am selling a mlp called Firefly. I understand it is very rare and sought after by collectors. It originates in South Africa and is in good condition. How would you suggest I go about selling/auctioning this pony? I have it with me in the U.K. but I return to South Africa on 14th Jan. I have good pictures available on email - not sure how to add them to my message

Thanks in anticipation

I dunno about the rest here but eBay is the only auction site I really frequent. Their fees have gone up over the years but it's still probably one of the biggest markets. I hear there are facebook groups you might be able to sell through as well but I don't know much about that since I'm not on FB. Someone here might be able to give you an idea on value, I don't know much about South African ponies but if you get a price in mind you can also post for sale on the forums, which is nice cause it saves you those eBay fees. Although you'll need to accept Paypal cause members can be leery of buying from people they don't know through the community, at least with Paypal there is some protection.

Gingerbread gives some good advice. I belong to a number of the FB groups, but I still buy mostly from Ebay. Pricing on the groups is all over the place. I guess Ebay has a bit of that too.

If you want the most exposure (more potential buyers), you'll still get that with eBay. If you're looking for no fees, you're better off selling on a forum or Facebook group. Personally, though, I would not make such an investment if the seller did not have a lengthy positive feedback history on whichever site he/she decided to use, and definitely not without being able to pay with PayPal.
