Chica Linda will become my mare Alex or Skip alone Alex if you want her full name. She was bought about 6 month after I lost buddy. I bought her because yes I wanted a horse and my cousin wife had a brother who had this lovely little filly.
I went to meet her and what did I see. They grab her mane punch her whipped her and pull her over to me by her mane and a whip. She was scared and snorting and look so sad. I did not care she was not fully broke I did not care she was just 5 all I knew was this little angel had a sweet soul and these horrible people were hurting her.
Bought her took her home and while I never rode her she got very friendly loved apples. Took to learning manner well and picking her feet up and wearing a halter and lead rope. She Lunged really well too.
But as thing go We got hit with a major drought out her Hay was just so much money and I knew Alex would suffer if we could not get enough hay and all. I lost my job too and my parent were helping me feed her. So my dad knew these people who have acers and acers of land where she could live and be the pet of a little boy. I met them and they promised me she would be well cared for and safe.
So I sadly let her go. I found out though that she took to a saddle well and was sweet with dogs cat and other horses. Never bucked and was good at grooming. I guess I was a good teacher lol I like to thing.
Anyway this was her. She older now still lives with the family they kept there promise not to sale her.
