So I'm putting together my Thanksgiving menu. I usually make the same things every year but will throw in 1 or 2 new things to try. I've cooked Thanksgiving every year for going on 13 years now. It's usually about 8 people or so and I always make too much but one of the best parts about that is making leftover Thanksgiving sandwiches!

This is what I'll be making this year....
Appetizers:
Cream Cheese Celery Sticks, Fruit with marshmallow dip, Cheeses and crackers, Hot pepper jelly spread
Main meal:
Turkey, Ham, Gravy, Stuffing, Sweet Potato Casserole, Rolls, Corn Pudding, Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Lima beans, Cranberry Sauce and Baby Roasted Potatoes
Desserts:
Pumpkin Pie, Mile High PB Brownie Pie, Apple Pie, Toll House Pie, Chocolate Pie and Blueberry Pie

I'll probably end up adding another thing or two at the last minute, cause I always do but most of these are annual favorites at my house. It may be a bit redundant (mashed potatoes and roasted potatoes) but I have a couple finicky eaters. Usually I bust my butt cooking the day before after I get off work and then all Thanksgiving morning and early afternoon but this year, for the first time ever, I took off the day before. I'm excited and don't know why I've not done this in the first place. I'm going to make everything ahead of time and just do the turkey Thanksgiving morning. I think this will be much easier on me!

So, what are you guys doing for Thanksgiving? Are their traditional, must have dishes that are your tried and true? I'm always on the look out for new things to try and like to see what different things other people like to make!

Well after all the um luck I have with cooking... I just opt for baby sitting the nieces and cousins. As we don't need a fire in the kitchen or a visit to the ER cause I cut somthing and need stitches.

I'd say my mom sweet potato fluff and my uncle fring a turkey is a must.

We are having nails with melted Styrofoam, and a piece of cardboard covered with some kind of grease on the side.

It is the best meal you can make with thing I found behind a gas station.

We just do a simple Thanksgiving, usually ordered from someplace. We don't have the need or space to prepare every single thing in our teeny tiny annoying kitchen. XP

Turkey, Hawaiian rolls, and pumpkin pie are a given. Maybe some apple pie this year too, I think. Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes were also brought up. I'm not sure exactly what all we're getting. It'll be a surprise! :D

My family is not able to do Thanksgiving this year due to my mother's health problem. At the very most we will get together and visit. We will not have fancy food, but we will have each other. It might be a bit hard for us all though because Aki Maki loved sitting at my mother's big, fancy dining room table with his own plate of Thanksgiving nibbles. Sigh.....

Yes, just being together is all you really need Tula! It will be sad without Aki Maki though, it's always hard when you loose a pet, they really are members of the family! Give mamma a rest and just get take out LOL Seriously though, that's what we do on Christmas. I cook so much all month, I give myself a day off and we have take out on Christmas.

Well, we are not getting together at all. Drama with mother has completed destroyed the holiday. It is a long story. So, R2 is going to get a pot pie and I am not sure I will eat anything. Cat Pee Pony is serving dinner for the ponies and everyone is worried about food poisoning.
