I followed a link I found on strawberryreef, the site I was using to find the names for all my ponies. All my G3 are from childhood, and most of my G1 are as well, scoured from antique stores. I don't have any impressive ponies, my best being my UK Melody with skates or plush Starshine. I have lots of collections, mostly nerdy stuff, but I try not to let any of them get TOO big so I'm only looking to buy or sell a few ponies. I lost my Chief but he was such a bait he was free.

Anyone else have a pony color preference? And does ANYONE have more than like 5 G2 ponies?

Hi, I use to have a huge collection of G2 and sold every last one. Now I have none. I like the babies though. Color preference for me is going to be aqua ponies. I admire your restraint. I could never hold myself back with any of my collections. So basically its is the collections owning me.

Let's just say, none of my collections take up more than one shelf. All of my action figures are in 6 or 8 lunchboxes. I have fewer than 30 MLP and my wishlist is about 10. I only want what I like, and from what I've seen, it's strange not to want Mimic. To me, it's not worth owning any pony worth more than $25. I'll probably take Cutesaurus off my wishlist because it's way more. I like Gen 2 but I rarely could find it at the local antique stores, just gen 1.

I have maybe a dozen G2, but they're all second hand ladies who have seen better days. I like 'well loved' Ponies, so I tend to buy baity ones. I won't own any rare ones unless I just luck into them on the cheap. Granted, I will pay $15 for the new fashion styles, but I do like new releases when I can get them. MLP is really my only super girly collectable. I like old weird stuff that probably would go under a heading of kitschy or tacky and like you, lotsa nerd stuff. I too collect action figures, although less ardently now. The prices are somewhat prohibitive because my tastes run towars those awesome, expensive figs. I love Star Trek toys and just got some Motion Picture figs from my best buddy who was clearing out his stash. I love to help him declutter, because I cash in. Bwahahaha!

As far as colours go, I prefer the brighter wilder colours. Pastels are nice, but I'm an ancient 80s gal and I love the neon ones. :D

The neon ponies look very 80s/90s. I mostly have Playmates Star Trek action figures, and some form or another of most of the major ships, except Voyager. I only have 6 different (Trek) action figures too big for a lunchbox. I only have one or two from the Motion Picture, I go more for the burgundy uniforms for movie figures. They look the coziest.

The Playmate ones are really nice, the sculpts are well done. I tend to favour those. My original ones are all old Megos, and I love, love, love them! But I totally agree on the maroon uniforms. Aside from the classic ones, they are my faves. They're good looking and functional. The Motion Picture ones are just awful to me. My best friend has the big Barbie style Motion Picture doll of Ilya or whatever the Deltan's name was and ghads, that's one ugly doll. I was just cleaning her up the other day, and yikes. Scary doll.

What kind of lunch boxes do you collect? I mainly have old tin ones, from He-Man, Lidsville, Emergency, stuff like that. Some aren't great looking, but I enjoy them!

Metal lunch boxes. Not old ones, though, as they're mainly for storage. Just lunch boxes for whatever I like. Mlp g1, TOS Star Trek, Star Wars, classic Care Bears, and some from when I was a kid. Whenever I find one I like. The toy store at Crown Center in Kansas City had a huge display of a private collection of old metal lunch boxes, but sadly it was moved. The only old one I ever got was Holly Hobby because it was just like one my mom had as a kid.

I have only one old Megos. I found it in the lunchbox where I kep my pokemon toys a couple weeks ago, an old Megos Uhura. My family claims not to know where it came from but it had to have been somewhat recent. I wish I could find more Trek figures with clothes. I like swapping them around, and it just makes them look a lot better. I have Riker, Picard, and Cochrane from First Contact. Their faces aren't super perfect but the clothes are really nice for figures. My favorite will probably always be my 12" Q in robes, though. SO silky. DO you have any favorites?

Welcome to the forum^^
I only collect g1 ponies since I do not have room for anything else. I admire you that you can restrain from buying too many^^ I just can't :p When I see cute pony I just want it LOL :D
I love pink neon color like UK Melody has and the more "settled" pink like Fireball's body color

Ah, my favourites will always be the big three, Spock, McCoy, Kirk (in that order). My buddy has some of the newer TOS figs with clothing and they're really top notch. I prefer clothing to the molded plastic figures as well. They just look better, and I enjoy the textures and feel of their clothing. My number one doll will always be my Spock doll though. I got him when I was nine and he's been my stalwart companion through life. I'll try to find a pic I have of my original Spock and an adorable Spock plush my sister made.

I usually find my lunchboxes at yardsales and such. They're never in great shape, but I love them for storage and such. I used to use the He-Man one for a purse. :D

I'd love to see your Star Trek favorites! The only down side to clothing is that it can get lost or snagged, or some types just go downhill easily. My First Contact Picard has his local garb on, a nice jacket with 'leather' in a few places, but it cracks waaaay too easily so I can't really take it off. I have two Cochranes with clothes, so at least I have some extras there, but I'd rather have an extra for Picard.

I'll dig out the picture! My Spock is very battered, as he's been around for 41 years (amazing to think, man I am old) but I just squealed when my sis gave me the plush. She makes all sorts of characters, but Spock she made just for me.

I wish it was easier to score the clothes for the dolls. Making them is off the table for me, because sewing tiny things is way beyond my limited skills. I wonder what other doll lines have clothing that might fit yours...

I'd be really curious to see. A lot of mine are different sizes. I have very few accessories for my common Star Wars figures, my 12" Spock and Q are the right size for each other, and the right height for Barbie though that's 1-way sharing since Barbie is skinnier. Handmade plushies are awesome, I just got the Spock Build-A-Bear for my birthday in August. My sister gave him boxers so he could be named Spoxers.
