okay I'm not going to toss out this sellers name, but this pony they had for sale, an eyelash pony. Now am I wrong to say that this is a poor pic that doesn't show the lashes very well? and that they look snarled? I asked the seller for a better pic before I left for the weekend. Here's her reply:

Eyelashes can be combed, but don't think they are snarled. They are thick and long. Another picture would just give the same look and there is no time to set up to take one.

I think I know which seller you are refering to. If it is her, then she really is a fantastic person and I'm sure that she would do her best to please you. I am a bit surprised by her response, as I have dealt with her on several occasions and she has always been pleasent and helpful. I don't own an eyelash pony so I don't know what they should look like to begin with.

I second that! She was probably just having a bad day. Check her website, I'm pretty sure that one is still listed for sale. At least you might get a better picture.

hi

Hi

Its just my opinion, but a better picture of the eyelashes could have been taken, her hair does look fabulous, but her face looks like a giant uni-brow, or spiders coming out of her eyes.

I guess she was just too busy? I guess her loss if she loses your business, maybe she will re-list with a better photo?

Re:

I don't think she is hiding something. The eyelashes usually look like that.
They do on my princess ponies. I think they look like giant eyebrowns as well =P I never thought that those ponies were very attractive. But I still have them =)

It's kind of a rude response but I think she is right. From a different angle you would just see the fuzzy eyebrowns... from a different angle.

I haven't tried to stright them out on my ponies, but I'm pretty sure that is possible to do.

I think if it is hiding anything, it is the condition of the hair. When it is all done up in curls you don't realize how frizzy and/or dry it really may be.

That might not be the case with this one, I just needed that rant. I've been stuck with a couple "nice silky hair" when really its only in curls and when I get the pony the hair is all flat from shipping anyway. When I try to fix it, I get frizzy dry hair again.

I haven't the foggiest idea of which seller we're speaking, but I have to say, that hair makes me think that the poor pony has awful frizz but the seller slopped in a pound of hair gel to make it look straight. Combined with a response like that (and, honestly, I can't see the eyebrows very well at all in that picture) I'd steer very clear of that auction.
My two cents, not meant to offend anyone.

I have nothing against the seller and that pony sold for $5..I wanted to bid really I did, but those lashes on that pony look debateable, and like its been said, when the hair is curled up like that you can't see the quality of the hair, I like my pony's hair to be straight if its supposed to be, so that means when I get it I got to redo the hair. as for her not having time to set up and take a pic, it didn't have to be a darn photo shoot..just lay the pony on a table and take a close picture og her face quick, thats all I needed. I don't know what the lashes are supposed to look like, I've seen them straight and nice and that ball of mess it seemed she had. I felt something was being hidden. for a quick pic of the pony's face would have taken 10 mins. but I didn't bid because of that. If you know the seller thats great, but I do not know her and its only fair to not disclose her name. I have seen her sell before and I'm sure she buys up lots of ponies and resells. I am in no way trashing her name on here, just seeing what you thought. I just thought it was a poor way to conduct business. being the a frequent seller maybe she doesnt have time, I'm not saying shes a liar, but as I said I felt something was being hidden.

I saw an auction from that seller where she'd curled Mainsail's mane and it looked . . . bad to the point where it was amusing. Sort of like a clown wig. But what really got me was that she'd curled the white streak in Mainsail's tail. Knowing how easily the Sunshine ponies' color-changing streaks frizz, that made me cringe. If you're lucky enough to find one with a nice unfrizzed white streak, for the love of God, don't mess with it!

Yeah, the Eyelash Princess I have had the unibrow caterpillars too. I actually started plucking her lashes out because they looked so bad. (She has "regular" eyelashes painted on underneath!)

I'd love to know the trick to fixing them...
Me too! If there is a way that is... Looking at them make it seems kind of impossible =/

I have one MIB and the eyelashes look like the kind you see at the beauty supply for people...smooth and have a gentle curl. I'd love to know the trick to fixing them...we have one loose that looks like the photo...LOL my 5 year old thought she had fuzzy eyebrows not lashes!

See I thought they were supposed to be smooth like glue on fake lashes myself, but I wanted to see if anyone could confirm that. I don't think they are repairable in my opinion, and I don't think can be replaced, so therefore I would say watch what you bid on from that seller if you've seen her, I have seen her sell and her stuff goes high because of the uber curls and clear pics. some of the ponies look nice I give it that, but it hides the hair condition.Sunshine ponies are horridly frizzy, I have 2 mainsails that are a mess, a beachball thats a mess also, and I agree, you find one of those in decent shape LEAVE IT ALONE!! lol. She means well with her ponies and she can sell them how she wants to,but I would just be cautious, and thats why I emailed her first, and judging by the responses I'm going to have to say I'm glad I didn't bid on it.

Re:

Oooo a mini pony eyelash curler =) Now why didn't Hasbro think of that to the princess ponies? =P

I think you were right not to bid. It certainly sounded like she was hiding something. And it's always a bad idea to bid on someone's item if they are rude or short-tempered with you BEFORE you even bid, because then you would have a total mess if you bid and something went wrong afterward, like shipping damage or something. I've learned that lesson the hard way on a couple of occasions.
