TOY FAIR 2010 Pictures

Wow, I have found so much love in those pics! I can't believe that I saw like 6 things I wanted. lol. I definitely want the Mom Pie, and Mom Cheeriloo sets. I really like the styling Starsong. As for the new style ponies. I really like them. If they help to introduce more than just 7 characters, then I'll be really happy. If not, then I'll get a set of those and wait for MLP's next big thing. lol. I hope they are going to be out later this year, so I know what to ask for for Christmas. :)

The only thing I like on the new reredesigns (g3.2) are the wings. If they looked like the first g1 anime style animated series pilot Rescue at Midnight Castle I would be super thrilled. The new style looks weird, but nice try anyway. Don't get me wrong I love all mlp and I will get some of these, but I am stilling hoping that one day they will go back to that animated style someday for video. It isn't horrible though I can deal with the newest designs.
They need to add some more of non-core 7 ponies. I mean all the mermaid sets could have had some non-core 7. I only have my eye on one of the mermaid sets.

My first thought was 'What the...!?' Those look like some sort of anime/pony McDonalds things... I mean, for what they are...they're kinda cute but when compared with regular MLPs,it's too weird.

what is this airplane you guys keep mentioning? am I missing it? I see no plane.

OHh! I love the anime-look!

I don't' like the fact that They do not have brushable manes and tails what's up with that!?
Come on Hasbro, I know you guys are cheap but rally, your cheating out millions of children!

I like the Alicorn and Spike, so awesome and cute! I'd buy those, if only the ponies had real hair.

and to those who are hate the new look, relax, its just toys, Hasbro will just keep on changing them again, and again and again.....

No worse then the G3.5's *shudder* now those are still creepy...

For the anime ones, the yellow one is AJ, the pink one is Pinkie Pie( lookit the picture behind and you'll see her cutie mark) so im guessing the purple unicorn is a G2? Ill look into it now ;)
Oh and maybe the alicorn is the new G4 model! Just a random suggestion, but it seems pretty believable to me XD
And Spike, ooh Spike.. over the generations! XD

Actually I think the purple one is North Star (I hope so since I had North Star as a kid)! I think the winged unicorn thing is going to be like the Berry Princess was to the original Strawberry Shortcake.

Strawberry Shortcake Berry Princess

I wouldn't call that little dragon Spike but I love him on his own. I think he's cute.
I also love that mermaid dolphin carriage thing. I will have to get some of those mermaids for my daughter and maybe even do a mini photo shoot at the beach with them.

Thats exactly how I feel about it too. The Spike character is adorable and so is the dolphin/mermaid toy, but what is up with the super tall unipeg? wierd. Does not look mlp to me. :(

Ok, I've become a lot more optomistic about this. I, like most collectors, don't like it when hasbro changes, but just think, this is just more to collect. We can still get our favorite generations from thrift stores, other collectors, etc. But now we have these new cute ones ^^ When I look at these and the current, ugly G3.5s, I can see that these anime-ish ones are what Hasbro was aiming for, but just couldn't accomplish until Fyre-flye came along. Besides, even if we don't like these, they, like other generations, won't last forever.

My concern is, when these do come out, should we call them G4? Hasbro hasn't stopped production, but these are so different, that I don't feel comfortable calling the G3s. I think, despite our previous "Generation guidelines" that they would be classified as G4. But what does everyone else think?

Oh Lord! What IS that!? Could someone hand me a bucket please?

Who knows?! I bet there will be debates about it again.

I know this is a little off topic my appologies but,
does hasbro not gona have any LPS at the toyfair?
Or have their not been pix of that exibit yet?
:catani:

OMG! I LOVE them! If they ever get here I will buy for sure! But then, I´m an anime freak.....;P

I like the new stuff somewhat. I'm just happy to see some new versions of the g1 characters.

They don't look as sweet as the originals.. but, ladies.. it's no longer the 80's. At least they are bringing some of the characters we recognize back. I never did like the re-issues.. they just didn't look right. At least this seems to be a nod to the adult collectors. If the line doens't evolve somewhat.. it would probably go under!

Besides.. I like 'em better than the G3.5s...

I'm opting for the temporary title at least for GFF; Generation Fyre-Flye. It's not really a G3 anymore, but it can't be called a G4 since production hasn't stopped. Or maybe G3-F. Generation 3: Fyre-flye.
