Transformers

Okay so here are 3 Transformers we got today at the Transformers meet. R2 is still working on his other one. They had an awesome 150.00 Soundwave complete but naaaa not getting that one. LOL

We will start with mine.

I got: Springer and Rewind these are newer not vintage. We can't really afford the vintage ones right now due to R2 leaving town in a couple of weeks. Plus the one I did find they wanted nearly 200 for. So, I am fine with the newer ones for now. Since I like complete things it is difficult to pay the complete prices for vintage.

I transformed him into a helicopter but not the other thing yet.

Then R2 got himself two: Prowl but in the Japanese Version

These Japanese Versions are very nice with rubber tires instead of US plastic versions. I will get the other one up later. I guess it is more challenging and taking him some time. Its an Autobot also.

Okay here is R2's other one. His name is: Xbrawn Japanese Version

The two I was hoping to find were not there. Sigh...maybe later on those.

I just found an original Soundwave not long ago in a bag of TF at the flea market. He had some of his tapes, though not RazorBeak, but didn't have his accessories. I gave him to my middle little sister and she completely flipped out. He was in better shape than mine, but mine was a present, so he's super special. Sadly, he's tubbed out. I don't even know where at this point, which is really making me sad.

Tubbed out?

I call all my toys that are put up "tubbed out" , it's like Time Out in a tub. Because they've been bad. :D

Poor Houston! We use to have so many great thrift stores. There were several I went to and found fantastic items. My favorite one caught on fire during Harvey. Oh and another favorite flooded so badly. All they have been able to get back into the store once they repaired structural damage is clothing. There are no toys at all. Our Good Wills do not have many toys at all. Just plushes mainly and children's books. I don't venture out too far, so I have no idea if my other favorite one is Pasadena has flooded, but I would guess it probably did. We have lost so much because of Harvey. So, right now I don't have access to good second hand places except for this really fun store in the Houston Heights by my house. The antique store on the other side of the highway usually had a toy fair about once or twice a year and they have good prices at the fair, but not thrift store prices. We checked one thrift store in an area close to where I picked up my handicap car tag yesterday and they just had nothing. It is because, so many thousands of Houstonians have lost everything and they are not able to donate. It is like they need donations. So, I know other states and cities initially sent in donations to Houston, but all of that has been taken by flood victims. I suppose it will take a long time to get these business's back where they were if they do not fail first.

All my G3's are tubbed out because Vinny won't stop attacking them and carrying them around the house.

I found out a lot of the thrift stores are discontinuing the practice of selling loose toys aside from plushes or 'new in the box' items because of choking hazards and toy recalls. They don't wanna risk lawsuits. That's what my friend Bruce at Goodwill told me anyhoo. What a bummer. They apparently load up boxes with toys and sell them en masse at auction sites, sight unseen. So a box might be full of treasure, or more than likely... full of junk.

Now that I think of Transformers and naughtiness, I have a great mental image of Megatron being forced to sit in the Bay Boy Corner. Time out for you, Megs!
