Trying to find ppl that made blinkies about 3-2 years ago...

Not sure if this should go here or in the artwork section.....

A few years ago (about 3 or 2 I think), some one made me a blinkie. It was of Curly Locks and Tex, and they were in a barn. I remember there was also a little black cat sitting on a haystack in the barn. Unfortuntly I think I lost it when my computer crashed the last time.

In the back of my mind, I'm thinking it may have been Pinwheel, owner of the site Starlight Valley. When I tried to find the site, I couldn't. Anyone know if Pinwheel and/or Starlight Valley is still around?
 
Hate to tell you, but not only is she long gone but she did not keep anyones blinkie. Some people were reunited with theirs because somebody had a bunch of them in their computer.
 
She is correct.

I have several Pinwheel blinkies on my hard drive, the nearest I got was this one:-

But from your description it doesnt sound like it is yours.

It would be a great help if you could remember the filename, that way if people do have on their hard drive, they can look to see if it is there. The same goes for anyone else in the same situation.

Curly Locks, good luck with finding your blinkie. I never got the full story with what happened to Pinwheel, but I believe it was something wrong on her part.
 
Yeah it was Pinwheel, who's loooooooong gone, i still have all of the base graphics that she used to use, on my hard drive, but i haven't got your blinkie. :(

Thanks, I was afraid of that. It's been about two years since I've really done stuff online, especially MLP related.

No I don't remember the file name. I would assume it had curlylocks in it somewhere (or maybe ghr - for 'Golden Horseshoe Ranch').
Nope, that's not it garej, although I do remember a Baby Curly Locks that was posting here around that time.... Thanks anyway. :)

Here's hoping that either:
A) it was someone else that made it, and still has it saved somewhere.
B) someone else has it saved on their computer for some reason (yeah, long shot I know).
C) I have it said on a disk that I have temporarily misplaced.

Blast my memory! Thanks again then, garej. I was so happy to have it back.. that would have been a good 15$ down the drain. :)

There's an archive website and they had some of Pinwheel's blinkies, but I didn't see the one that you described, with the barn. I looked, sorry. :(
 
Oooo, could you post the link to the archive website? I'd love to see more of these blinkies, they're really incredible!
 
I have a number of the blinkies saved on my computer, but unfortunately none of them match up to your description. :(

You can try searching the internet archives at http://www.archive.org

They take regular snapshots of the internet and save them so that people can have access to pages and sites that have died along the years.
 
Actually.. I'm going to go ahead and list all the blinkies I have here so that if they belong to anyone, they can take them.

Wow, I recognise a few people'd names from those posted blinkies. I've always wondered where they came from...they are beautiful!
 
I remember that!

Its ages since I was online for pony stuff too, Curly Locks, about the same time I think, I remember the whole board went blinkie mad!!

I remember the girl who had the website 'Firefly's Place' made loads of the little icons that people used on their blinkies, they were so cute!! I had loads of them as my screensaver!
