I know many of you don't really like BBE ponies, but I have several in my childhood collection who could really use a good cleaning before I put them on display. I know they are prone to eye rust, so I was wondering how I should wash them to avoid giving them eye rust. If I stand them on their heads to dry for a few days afterward, will the water drain out of the head and not rust the eyes? Or is there another method to avoid eye rust?

Also, one of them already has eye rust and I was wondering if anyone knows a method to remove it. If anybody here has experience cleaning BBE ponies and could help me out, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi there,

What SilverCygnet said probably works. Haven't tried it myself, but how could it not? ;)

If you don't want to mess around with chemicals, though - use Coke. Scary, eh? Strangely enough, it works! But the scary thing is - ever since I removed my BBE Baby Sundance's eye rust, Coke has been haunting me! Everywhere I go I see the logo...

Lol - don't be worried about that though, haha. Either of these methods are good.

Just my two cents,
