Weirdest Thing You've Put In Your Mouth???

I ate a random nut (didn't know it was a nut) off the table at school lunch once. Still don't know what I was thinking, because it could have been literally anything. But I was trying to talk to my friends about something important, and the conversation kept getting derailed to "what is that on the table?" So I finally just picked it up and ate it and said, "It's a walnut, ok? Can we move on?"

Two friends and I ate kibble (dry cat food) a few times when we were children.
We've been joking lately that, if we ran out of food, we'd share with the dog. He was gifted a 15lb bag which will feed just him for about six months. *note, we are ok for food, no worries*

Heh heh, no need to worry about running out of food then, that's handy. :p Well, we could also share with the cats I guess, today a large box filled with cat food arrived (enough cat food for four cats for about two months). But it's wet food, and that really smells disgusting, I'd rather eat kibble.

Definitely the kibble, or "puppy crunch" as we've dubbed it. My doesn't get wet food, because he's a spoiled little service dog, he gets fresh chicken for his supper and I make his chicken jerky as well. He's got a bad leg, so he's on a strict diet and I've found that the lean chicken let's him fill his belly without gaining. Sorry... I can talk forever about my pup.

Awww, that's sweet, I'm sure he appreciates the efforts you make to provide him with healthy food.

For everyone who eats cat and dog food, how does it taste? Do you need to try it a few times, like an acquired taste or did you immediately love it?

I don't eat it. It was just a kid or if necessary thing. Tastes bland, meaty, dry.

I can still remember the kibbles' taste. They didn't really taste of meat, and somewhat sour. I can't recommend tasting them though. :p Well, it's no surprise they didn't taste of meat, as supermarket kibbles usually only contain 4% meat.

My family's always shelled out the money for high quality dog food.

Mine didn't, so I'm doing it now for my precious kitties. :ponylove: They don't even like nasty Whiskas any more, ha ha.
