Wow, that looks fantastic, I want one of those! Now I only need to find people who will play thematic games with me (I've never seen a strategic game that makes use of >d6). At the local games club, they only play strategic or party games and my boyfriend doesn't like thematic games either.

Yes, mainly for ponies and potential stuff I want to sell on ebay or BGG at some point in the future. It's bigger than I thought it would be, but probably too small for most games I'm going to pass on.

@IceCrystal - having a light box is a lot of fun. I love to put glittery paper in it for fancy backgrounds to make the pony “pop.” I just need a better camera now. Lol
I have a different problem now - I have a very good camera (Pentax full-frame), but I'm not used to "product photo shooting". I usually don't have depth of field problems when taking pictures of landscapes, trains or ships, but I'm struggling with depth of field in macro photography. After my first try, parts of the ponies were out of focus, even after using a small aperture. I think I need to use another lens, but I can't really determine which one would be ideal.

Shorter focal length and a bigger distance between the lens and the pony should in theory give more depth of field, but I can't use a 24mm lens or the pony will be way too small if I have to maintain a distance at the same time. I don't really know how to achieve a deeper depth of field in macro photography without the use of focus bracketing (Pentax doesn't support this). :madpony:

most dice sites make very pretty d6 blocks, incase you need some :3 like chessex, for example

@cannibalcow - ha ha, eventually - but I got Genie and Celebration.

This is a great thread! I so miss playing D&D, I haven't played in years and years. After my husband died, I just lost interest, because it was 'our' game. Still though, I miss it after all these years and want to teach it to our son, so I'm gonna have to dig out my books and get a game going.

It would be good to school my son in DnD, after he always trashes me in every video game we play! REVENGE!

As far as good loot in the mail, I've been buying tarot cards, lots of sci fi pulp and fabric. I shouldn't be left alone with a credit card, frankly. I have bought things and not remembered it till it showed up at the post office box!

I am back with the latest batch of dice!

This is my favourite set, it was a mystery set and I'm so happy I got this one!

I also got a really cool door knocker which I don't have a picture of yet.

Ans a t shirt from my favourite youtuber Andrew Camarata!

I also forgot to post these when I got them. Super lovely handmade dice

And here is a closeup of these Raw dice (not polished or inked) I think they look like gems

Ooooh, those dice! I already have the pink-and-blue one's in my gameslore basket, I'll order them together with other stuff that should be released in the near future. I also want to have a go at that MLP roleplay game for RP beginners. It has good ratings on BGG, so I thought I'll give it a try as it can be played solo as well. :)

I am so weak for pink and teal dice I need more XD

So I actually don't know anything about the pony rpg I see there are already dice out and I will definitely pick up the pony dnd figures, but what else is there? I would love to DM some pony stuff

There seem to be different dice sets for the pony RPG, but they are all out of stock at gameslore: Earth Pony, Unicorn and Pegasus dice set. I don't know if there are other European shops that sell these RPG's and dice.

If you're just looking for RPG's, not "normal" games, that's all I could find at BGG's sister site RPGGeek: https://rpggeek.com/geeksearch.php?action=search&objecttype=rpgunified&q=my little pony. I haven't checked them all, so I don't know which are standalones and which are expansions.

I'll order the Tails of Equestria Starter Set. I have no idea about G4 (I've never seen any cartoons, nor do I have any G4 plastic or plush ponies), but as the G1-themed games (non-RPG) all seem to be targeted at small children I guess I'll have a go at this one at some point. :D

Thanks for the tip, I'm definitely gonna have a look. I have only been the dm twice now for a short one shot, so I need more short stories to run and what would be better than a pony one to annoy everyone :lolpony:

And yeah I have never actually played any of the g1 games, I wonder if they're any good

Haha, my regular gaming group would definitely run away as far as possible if I announced that we're going to play a pony game. :lolpony:

But my best friend who should hopefully return to Switzerland in July (she is the only person I know who's interested in RPG) still has three of her childhood ponies (Masquerade and two fakies), so I reckon she would be willing to play the MLP RPG with me. :D

The G1 games all look very much like children's games: 100% luck, no strategy, basically just roll and move. https://boardgamegeek.com/geeksearch.php?action=search&objecttype=boardgame&q=My little Pony

If you should ever find one that's also suitable for adults please let me know. :)

back to topic:

today, a parcel arrived here, containing a re-usable baking foil. I'm trying to massively reduce waste in our household, so I search for re-usable alternatives in every area. I've found some incredible stuff I had no idea it existed: q-tips made from silicone, vegan waxed cloth as a replacement for cling foil and washable pads as a replacement for cotton wool pads, plus shampoo and conditioner bars (and soap instead of shower gel of course, but that's not a novelty zero-waste product :D).
