Has this happend to anyone else before it just just started Happening recently but it does not happen often just sometimes
My Left arm get's weak and when I try to pick up a drink in a cup it feels heavy and when I try to talk it sounds slurred but does not last very long no pain ever happens though it scares me when it does happen though I don't know what it is

Wow, that's scary. Are you taking any medications? My first thought is that it sounds like a side-effect.

I have been taking Diet Pills recently cause I am trying to lose some weight
and I take these for Blood Pressure Metoprolol but I have been on them for awhile
does that help David

Have you contacted your doctor about this? I'd call right away. It could be side effects of a drug or worse. It's the weakness in combination with slurred speech that concerns me. I'm not someone who jumps to worse case scenarios, but you can't take chance with your health. It's the weakness in combination with slurred speech that concerns me. I'd call my doctor immediately.
Please take care!

Call your doctor. Be sure to mention your diet pills--if you haven't told him already. There could be a dangerous drug interaction and it's not something to sit around wondering about. Your symptoms could mean just about anything, and I don't think anyone here can give you the kind of medical advice you need.

Yes, you need to call your Doctor.

Sorry, I got distracted last night and had gone to bed. A tip for everybody with health questions: your local Hospitals and usually your Health Insurance provider have free Nurselines on the phone, with a Registered Nurse to answer questions. The Nurses will know a lot more about health questions, and usually you'll only be on hold for a minute or so before you get to talk to one.

Registered and licensed dietitian here. As others have said, call your doctor. One possibility IS the diet pills. Diet pills are diuretics (they make you lose water) and can lead to dehydration. 2 symptoms of dehydration are weakness and slurred speech.

Quit the diet pills regardless of what you find out. These pills are dangerous and they don't work. The weight you lose is water weight which is weight you want to KEEP. You do not lose fat mass on diet pills. Plus, they often have caffeine which can cause you to be jittery, nervous, or have trouble sleeping. Ditch them now and call the doctor!

There is NO SUCH THING as a diet pill. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. They are often very dangerous and there isn't a way to tell what is really in it. Yes, they are alluring, but please stop them. They might be interacting with your other medication or causing harm alone.

The Trading Post is not a doctor, you need to go see one. Be safe.

Mine are Green tea Diet Pills
My Mom takes the same kind WHEN This DOES Happen it is hardly at all

That does sound kind of like dehydration. When I was pregnant I got dehydrated but it was more along the lines of not being able to cite numbers. Like I had to make a phone call, and give out a number, and I struggled with the numbers... and lifting laundry baskets was like ****.

Call a nurse and drink lots of water~ Water is usually nature's best medicine. :)
