has anyone seen “pony pimples” on a mib G4 pony before?
I recently (like with in the month) purchased this Fluttershy from the store and she’s been in box in my bedroom since. She was on a shelf with some other ponies I’ve bought in the last month waiting on me to find “homes” for them. Her box hasn’t at all been damaged, tampered with or opened in any way. My home is comfortable and “dry” so I don’t think environmental things has anything to do with it...

I’m a little annoyed by this but wondering if anyone else has had this issue with a G4?

I bought a Rarity that already had black spotting. I fear they're made of plastic even cheaper than our G1s. It worries me will the G4 last. If they're already discoloring and showing breakdown now, I can't imagine what they're look like in another decade. :(

Ugh! I’m so upset by this. Lol
I’m probably going to spend my day examining all my G4 girls now to see if anypony else has anything going on. Because of their size they are so much harder to take apart and clean properly, especially with my Fred Flinstone hands. :lolpony:

Hopefully we're just seeing defects because we deal with such a large number of toys. That might indicate a less widespread problem than we fear. Of course we're gonna get a defect here and there, seeing as we buy allllll da ponies!

I didn't read everything so if I copy you sorry in advance. I think what happens here is that the factory has gunk in the plastic they pour into molds or on the machines, maybe even in the molds themselves. They make the pony and it is imbedded into the plastic. It could be anything. I don't think it has anything to do with aging. It could be bacteria, so if it spreads it could be a fungus or bacterial based item. Otherwise, it is my opinion its just something gooey. Hopefully its not part of a rat (well you know). Baaaaaaa Its kind of the same thing I go through with tape. No matter how clean I try to be in my house, a dog hair always ends up under my tape. I check everything and it still happens. Same with pouring molds of toys.

When I was wrapping up Halloween prizes my hair kept getting under the tape so if they looked at their boxes they received the extra bonus of bright blue bunny hair! :D

Hope they don't plant it at crime scenes and frame me!

Oh yea give everyone you don't know your dna so, they can save it and use it later for a sinister act. Baaaaa At least you have some hair, mine is falling out and I have no idea why. Yea. I really don't care. At this point if I end up bald I will just enjoy collecting hats next. Heck I can velcro something funny on top of my head. If I was 20 I would be freaked out. Now I am just thinking if I don't have hair this crazy fear I have of getting lice at the movie theater won't be a problem anymore. Oh great I am changing the subject content of the thread again.

They may save it for cloning purposes ;p

Shhhhh remember you were not supposed to discuss that with her yet!!!!:cauldron:

Well, depending on where the factory is it could be dung beetle left overs.:tongue:Seriously, you are better off not eating mystery meat since there really is no proof it is meat. So it is likely this scenario. Dee Dee the Dwarf Rat has enjoyed running through the plant. She has left all sorts of deedees all over the place. Maybe it is a glob of 200 day old machine oil that has solidified. Hey we can start a thread on all the gross things that could be molded into a plastic pony for Halloween.

This was about as good as the look on my husband's face when I made him watch the well scene from season two Walking Dead where the walker was in the well. He was so not impressed baaaaaaaaa.

@MonsterIceCream

I adopted a Cotton Candy from the thrift once that had a rather large brown pimple. It popped too and oozed brown goo. Got some clorox and a toothbrush and a few other chemicals and decontaminated Miss Candy and never has she had a problem or any stain. And no it wasn't a bug egg. I have a knack for adopting very seriously damaged ponies. I ever saw the pimple in the store.
