What to do about these Customs?

And lastly is this galaxy themed pony. She was actually originally my first attempt at customizing a pony (a fakie, in this case). While she was started in 2015, the galaxy part of her was only added years later. Her hair is probably the main problem. It's made from cheap hair extensions and is stiffer than proper pony hair. At one point I attempted to give her a fringe and side bangs, but as you can see, that didn't work out so well. I'm not really willing to remove her head and re-root her, though. Maybe there's another way to try and fix it...?

So if you have any ideas/tips on how to fix these ponies, please share.
For the galaxy pony, since she's already got rainbow hair, what if you added more and made her space buns? I'm imagining somewhere between space buns and button braids.

Like these but way bigger. Maybe 5 total? If you get some more rainbow hair that doesn't clash texturally too much with the hair she already has, you could form the buns separately and just use pins to attach them to her head through the existing holes. Then you could basically replace her forelock entirely and just have the existing hair stick out like it's the very tail end of what's in the bun. You could do the same thing with her tail to make it fuller. You can use a hot butter knife or metal knitting needle to style the mane a bit (I just use a hair straightener to heat it up, just make sure you test the temperature first to make sure it won't just melt the hair). Either curls, or just apply some heat to the base to get the mane to lay flat on one side or the other instead of sticking straight back. Then just separate out the sections and plonk the buns on top.

I actually still have some of the hair that I used for her, so I might try out this idea. Thanks for the tips!

I liked they way they looked, before you revamped them, but the revamping looks cool too. You have really good skill with painting the details, like their cutie marks and especially their eyes. The Green Pony is my favorite, I thought her orginal look was cool too. I can see why you wanted to work on them some more, but I like how expressive your customs are, and I think your detail work stands out.

Thank you for the kind words!
