Hey there,
Im just curious..What was your very first pony?..My very first pony (form when I started collecting again) was Wysteria..I got It from Yuixe as a gift!

Mow what were yours?

My first G3 pony was Kimono. I bought her MIB at Hot Topic for a (then expensive) $8. Later I found her for $4 >.< I wish she was that cheap now! :p I got her because she was pretty and she made a perfect addition to my oriental themed room. Also, I remembered having ponies as a kid and I wanted to be nostalgic :3 I don't know who my first G1 pony was, as I got them before I turned 1 year old :p

I actually got two ponies at the same time. They were Peachy and Sprinkles. My grandmother bought them for me, and my mom thought they were dumb *haha* They instantly became my favorite toys. My grandma's excited that I still have all of my originals :D

Hi there,

Alright, here's my novel (lol):

Well, when I was a kid my first pony was Heart Throb, if I remember correctly. A couple years later I gave her away. But she stayed with who I gave her to, and after years and years of staying in that friend's basement, we are now reunited at last! :D (She's the only one that was spared from the yard-sale-of-doom so long ago...)

However, my first pony when I started collecting was Star Swirl. I went to Wal-Mart one day and was looking for Neopets stuff. They didn't have anything new - so while I was waiting for my parents to get back to the toy section to pick me up, I began aimlessly browsing around.

I had a few spare dollars. Absent-mindedly I wandered into the girly section. Then I saw the ponies. :) There were two of them - one yellow (Butterscotch), and one white (Star Swirl). The white one had that rain-coat on that I had seen in the commercial! I started pondering. Then I picked it up and looked it over very carefully. I wasn't interested in the yellow one because at that point I only liked white ponies, lol. And there was one left of that certain one... and I had enough money... decisions, eh? =P

So then my dad came back and saw me looking at the pony. He was like: "You're not into those, are you?" and I told him that I had seen the commercial and remembered having a few as a child. I shrugged and told him I didn't really like them, and I was just looking around. He told me to make up my mind and he walked away to see where my brother was. But I kept on putting the pony down and coming back. I kinda' felt stupid, but I kept thinking. Then when I asked a Wal-Mart lady to get a Sunset Sweety down for me from a high shelf, she asked me if I liked ponies. I said: "Yeah, I guess. They're okay... but I'm just looking."

But I still liked the white one. Finally I gave in. I had enough money, so I bought it. I felt really strange though, and I kept telling my dad that I was only getting this one to try it out. Ha! Whatever! *looks at shelf of over 120 ponies*

And the rest is history! After I found out about the collecting community, I didn't feel so strange anymore. Now, I don't feel strange at all. It's so awesome being a pony-collector. I'm so glad I didn't decide to only stick to having that one pony. ;)

My Star Swirl is very precious to me now. I take her with me everywhere, lol. And now it makes me think: What if I hadn't bought Star Swirl that one day?

Hehe, the world may never know. ^_^

FIRST PONIES

My very first two ponies i got ever were

Daddy and Bay Bright bouquet

I think i got them at my first or second Christmas not sure though

some where i have a pic of me stilling under the tree with all my toys and in the coner you slight ly see them i wish i could find the dumb thing lol

I have no clue if they were new or not :?

but i do still have daddy
dont know where baby went
I think when i was little i didnt know daddy was a male pony so he was the big mommy pony lol and i think i called him firerfly lol

since i kinda missed all the pony stuff and had Battle for midnight castle on a taped movie so those were the only read pony names i knew lol

Moondancer *sigh* she was so beautiful! I loved that pony soo much...I got others later, but nothing past 1986, really. From the original collection I only really remember Moondancer, Firefly, Peachy and the big My Pretty Pony thing with the cowboy hat and saddle. I know there were more, but alas, my 23 year old mind fails me.

I *think* my first pony was Blossom, but that's just basing off the fact that she's the earliest pony of my childhood collection. I don't actually remember getting her.

As far as G3's, it was the Sparkleworks and Star Swirl pack. It was kinda funny, because I'd just recently had a baby girl and dh and I were talking one day about how he'd like to collect GIJoes with his son if we'd had a boy. So that got me to thinking about my childhood ponies that I'd been dragging around with me for years. I never took them out of their box, but they stayed under my bed no matter where I was living. There was just this strange attachment to them - I didn't understand it, but I just did it anyway. *L* I started thinking how neat it would be to collect ponies for my daughter and WHAM! The next day, I was browsing around WalMart and I nearly ran into someone else because I did a double- and triple-take at the pony endcap display. PONIES?!? OMG!! And they were CUTE! (I hadn't been impressed by G2's.)

So I looked them over, chose the Star Swirl pack because of the white pony and because both she and Sparkleworks had similar symbols. I took them home and gave them to my daughter. She was only about a year old and immediately started to thrash them - chewing on their hair, dropping them on the floor and stepping on them, etc. I took them away because it just bothered me to see a pony treated that way. *LOL* Then, out of curiosity, I hopped on the internet to find out if there were any more. I was SO surprised to learn that they were newly released. I stumbled upon them when there were just getting started, so I figured that was a sign.

And things have just exploded from there. I used to have a childhood collection of 20, now I have 200 G3's, a dozen G2's, and 150 G1's. ^_^

Ah...my first Pony... Well, I had Ponies from the time I was born, I believe. The earliest Pony that I have is CF Blossom, but I don't remember getting her. The first Pony I remember getting is Starshine, and we got her at a flea market.

My first G3s were Pinkie Pie and Kimono. This was the time that I was dating the psycho-stalker-freak and could still actually get him to look at toys with me. We went into K-B Toys, and there they were, so I had to have them. Shortly after, I began picking up more and more and more, and he began getting weirded out and staying away from toy aisles and toy stores... So here I am, two years later, still collecting Ponies, and staying away from psycho-stalker-freaks.

My first pony was... Rainbow Windy! She came from 'Santa' when I was about 8 years old. I was soooo happy to get her, I think she's really the only Christmas present I vividly remember getting as a kid. I still have her, too! I get all nostalgic whenever I look at her. :D

My first is G2 Cupcake! :D

Ah, I remember the day I got her like it was yesterday... unfortuanetly, I don't have time to explain it now, but never fear, I'll go into details at a later point in time... needless to say, I adore Cupcake, even if she is 'lost'. (aka my parents can't find her since we moved. -_-)

Mine was G3 Sweetberry, right after my friend told me about mlp... and since then I've been hooked lol.

1982 possibly 83 Christmas, it was Cotton Candy, I was 5 or possibly 6 years old... pretty sure I was 5 'cause my parents were together still... my mom gave her to me, she thought she was cute and I had a thing for pink. My mom's so nice.

I dont remember, it's either Posey, Lemondrop or Baby Sunshower, as I dont remember getting either of them. I do remember getting Baby Cotton Candy, which is one Christmas.

Baby Sunshower was released in 1986, but Lemondrop, Baby Cotton Candy and Posey were also available then, so I am thinking it was the same time, or possibly a year before.

My other childhood ponies came to me for my birthday (which I remember) which is 2 months later than christmas, so it would make sense that the other 3 came at the same time.

I got quite a few ponies at once when I started recollecting, but my first pony I bought off ebay was TAF Up Up and Away.

My first ever was Blossom, and I think I got her when I was about 3, I don't remember exactly though :D . My collection grew steadily til I was around 13, when I got my last childhood G1, Bluebell (the euro flower pony).
I sold all but a few of my childhood ponies this time last year, but I am slowlt rebuilding it, with quite a lot of extras!!
My first G3 was actuall 3 G3! I bought Merriweather, Aloah Pearl and Bellaluna at the same time, but I picked out Merriweather before the other 2, so she counts as first to me.
My first G2 was the euro McDonalds Starswirl (or is it Silverswirl-I can never remember). My Sister in law pulled her out of a box of toys she had been given for her foster kids. I have quite a few of the same pony now, but I will never part with the one she gave me :D

My first one was Firefly, then Applejack, Backstroke with float and a sea pony with shell that got stolen from me in kindergarten at recess :(
I used to take Firefly in the bathtub ALL the time and now she has no tail, gliiter is so worn away and her head is split in half where her hair is stil attatched. But I still have her :D

My first pony was Lickety-Split. I remember moving house when I was three (20 years ago - lol) and my grandmother tried to put her in a big black plastic bag with my other toys - I kinda threw a tantrum  . I still have her but she kinda got a hair cut along the way, her head is loose and her hair has faded to white. She sits on the shelf next to my upgrade Lickety-Split that I bought Strawberry Fair on the old board. I wouldn't give her up for the world :D

My very first pony as a child was probably Lemon Drop. She's the one I can remember having the longest.
I have collected pretty much since I was a child.

But my first pony that I got when I discoverd the pony community and that there were collectors overseas and so on was SS Truly who now has been in my colelction for the pas 8 years and she still look as good today as she did then ;)

My first pony was G1 Moondancer. I don't remember what I got her for, as that was a LONG time ago! 8) My first G3 was actually a few...the promo packs of Sparkleworks with Star Swirl, and Minty with ??? (Gosh, I am a bad mommy huh?!)

My first pony was Cherries Jubilee. Both my sister and I got her either for Christmas or one of our birthdays - I honestly don't remember anymore, nor how old I was (around 8-9 I think?). My last G1 was Nightglider on my 12th birthday.

Earlier this year I got Sew-and-So and Sweetsong as my first G3's, because I love the colours. :)

I bought TE Speedy from ebay, I had one as a child and thought it would be cool to have a pony again. She was a Christmas pony from my husband two years ago. When I saw the G3's I picked Pinkie Pie and Wysteria. I thought only two, just because I used to have MLP.
