What Would You Like to See in G5 Toys?

Basically everything you said I agree with 100%. I would love more poses, G1 hair, G3 pearly bodies. I would love for them to use vintage doll style toys, with curly soft hair, blush, lacy clothes, well made plastic, and a nice smell. That would be cool.

Perhaps G4 is like G2, a very good gens with flaws, such as disappointing models/cutie marks. Maybe G5 will be G3 again where they amp the quality up. I'm trying to remain positive about it until we see more toys released, as the retro main six set isn't the official designs for G5. But hopes are at least something simular. Is it to much to ask for horses again??

Hair quality is my biggest request. Have a good photo showing decline in hair quality over the G4 years. Not sure which set the oldest Pinkie is from, but her quality is in line with my 2012-14s. Middle Pinkie is 2015, and obviously the G4.5 is 2017. 2017's hair is a little neater than 2015's, but only because I'd learned by this point not to try and fix it from box frizz :sleepy:

Also request longer noses and hollow bodies again! G4 Fashion styles feel like you could bludgeon someone to death. And ofc, variety. I can't help wonder if the decline in G4 is less to do with interest decreasing over time, and more to do with variety - If a kid gets a different pony for Christmas every year, she has all the mane 6 and CMCs by now, and you so rarely see anything else in stores nowadays.
Wow what a difference. It seems the newest Pinkie look better than the middle, (which looks oily?? why did that line have that??) but not as good as the first. It's sad, is it really that hard to keep it the same for all of G4 hASBroKEN?????

It's not really better, just broken differently. Middle Pinkie's hair has a "greasy" look and clumps together when you try to comb it, hence the weird thick locks. G4.5 Pinkie's is intensely frizzy but had a decent box quality that I knew by then not to try and re-style. For a better example of G4.5 quality, my Twilight was terrible out of the box.

I'm sorry, that sucks. Let's really hope they fix that in future gens. They can't be that cheap, its become fakie quality now

Thought of more. Here we go:
Like I said, dolls. We need vintage dolls quality for the ponies. I want girly. Vintage Barbie. I want lacy clothes, makeup and lush factory curls, not one big loop we have now (underneath the frizz) I want individual curls like Tootie Tails's. I want earrings, and headbands, dresses.

I want amazing accessories, like G1, or G2, or Barbie style.

I want fairy ponies, more animals, seaponies, princesses, families and boys.

I want big castles and islands. Lacy sets, with lots of rooms. I want them to bring big brother ponies back but with sets. Like a train pony comes with a train, or a sailor gets a boat. I want a cruise ship for all the ponies too. A big pink one or white one, with lots of tropical decals.

I WANT HORSE MARKS. Make them like g3 but with horse markingsss.

A stable set. Sure one like the Show Stable would be cool, but More stable-y. I want more horse like themes next time around.

LANDSCAPE PONIES. I want a desert pone. Not like Tex, but with the whole color scheme, like cacti all over her, and gray-blue for hair to represent the sky. Orange for the body. Or a forest pony with pine tree colors and pine trees at the legs, with the designs one the legs like the Cutie Cascade ponies.

I want fancy artwork on the backcard. A story to get to know the pony on the back, so u know how to base the personality. I loved that as a child. Or cutting out the designs. Rather than that cheap screenshot stuff.

More color schemes like the Stranger Things Applejack. More horse colors for some, more pastel for others. Maybe the more horse-like ones can be horses, rather than ponies.

Bigger Cutie Marks.

Aesthetic feel. I want that back so bad.

Yeah there's probably more, but for now this is it. I know my ideas kinda suck but I like them.

More relative to how it'll tie in with the eventual series? I'd really love to see Hasbro take a page out of their G3 playbook, and become more ambitious with releasing a much much more broader variety of ponies than whoever exists merely within the immediate 'mane' cast. And, if they introduce another new OC species similar to the Crystal Ponies, or Kirin in G4? MAKE THEM PART OF THE TOYLINE! You can't just throw around perfectly good toyetic concepts like those, without following through with them!

Also! I have such a weakness for "holiday specific" characters like Pumpkin Tart, Abra-ca-dabra, and Candy Cane... I'd love to see more ponies like them! (or even G5 "updates" on fan faves, like how Minty's gotten the G4/.5 treatment a few times over already!)

And another thing, just off the top of my head (since all the best suggestions have already been said!) ..If they are going to release the mane cast multiple times over? I'd be much happier if each variant wave was WILDLY different and distinguished from the last, like how the Mane Six had their "Power Pony" alter-egos in one release, and in another, that "PonyMania" business-- where they had that sort of inexplicably 'gothic' style look? If we really have to have another case of a hundred Pinkie Pies, imo they ought to each at least have some unique 'slant' in their personalities all of their own. Both kids and adult fans alike have certain niche interests and preferences (occasionally, outside of MLP) that sometimes informs a special personal opinion on how they see perceive their favorite characters, so if variants are going to be unavoidable there should be a little bit for everyone in them.

I agree with this!!!!!!!! I'd love more holiday ones!

Yes! I'd love more holiday and seasonal themed ponies.

Hm...... I would like some better quality of the materials. G4 ponies nowadays look like some cheap fastfood toys - stiff manes, super plastic bodies and eyes that could be almost scratched off. I think the toys deserve silky long manes and lighter, maybe more G3 like bodies.
I think Hasbro is slowly forgeting *why* are they making toys in the first place. Those new ponies seems to me quite "without soul" - I think they should make more unique ponies, and not to repeat the same main cast. Maybe add some describtion on the boxes or maybe some motivating words, similiar to what Bella Sara card game had. Outfits for the ponies would be amazing! I don't want to see some big plastic castles nor """playsets""", I think they should rather make something interative, like small bath-tub where you can bath your pony, or some bed, cart, maybe "floating ring" to take your pony to swimming pool with you, etc.

Also, those "Christmas, Halloween, etc." Ponies would be so great!

How about G1-style playsets with interactive gimmicks, but also with electronic features? That'd be pretty cool! Like a Dream Castle with drawbridge and pulley system, but also LED lights and a button to play a jingle? Or an interaction with the toys like g3 magnets and g1 petites?

I like that! I'd like smaller sets too- they both sound great! Just no sets if they can't be made well

I would like the new Mishmash ponies to be G5. (Please Hasbro, ditch the current cast once and for all.)
