Well okay so my friend made it through her surgery and actually called me last night to tell me she was okay. I was shocked to even think she would be awake enough to call. I have not heard from her today so, I figure all of that great IV drip pain medication is out of her system and she is probably not the happiest camper.

My other friend had surgery today. A knee replacement. Yikes I would not want to go through that. I can't even imagine it.

I re-rooted six ponies today. Now my hands hurt and I need new re-rooting needles, RIP the three that broke today. :(
Wow really you broke three? That is a lot of work. If I did that work on six ponies in a day I would end up in the hospital.

Ditto!

Sadly, yes. Two in Shining Armor and the third in Salty - his plastic is very strong. Lol
I liked your post, but still sad about your needles. It's really pretty awesome that you got that many done! Wow!

It’s upsetting that I have to buy (or make) more but I’ve at least re-rooted all the ponies I wanted to now. They’re all just air drying the glue on the roots and tomorrow will be cut, style and photo shoot day. I spent 90% of my day working on them and I almost quit when I got to doing my Shining Armor. Never again will I ever re-root him. He almost made me cry in frustration today.

I'm looking at partial if not full replacement in November or December. I'm a bit daunted by it, but it has to happen. I can't take care of the farm like I should and poor Hank has to do almost everything now. It hurts so bad I think just having the leg lopped off would be an improvement.

Sad we're getting to an age we're having to get new parts. The sooner I can go full cyborg the better! :D

Sweet Mothers of Invention! You are one industrious gal! I am way too lazy to be that busy.

Today I sorted out beads and packed stuff to mail. I accomplished nothing! Hahaha!

If you've ever seen "full metal alchemist" they have auto mail which they make fully working synthetic limbs out of. They connect to your nerves and work better than an original limb.

Evelyn said she'll invent it in rl for us. o_O

Okay so here is a thought. If you want to be all bionic so to speak that is fine, but with technology like it is there could be issues. The first thing that comes to mind is a hacker hacks into your bionic parts computer. They re-program your arm to sock everyone you see in the face including the llama. They program your legs to do the splits 20 times a day and your neck to spin around like Linda Blair. In the middle of the night you will think you are sleeping but instead the hacker has programed you to get out of bed, head to corner store grab many items, run and deliver them at secret location. Then your video will be shown on tv. "Who is this woman who robbed a store at 3am? If you know her by her rainbow hair please contact the authorities." Then just to be mean the hacker might even find a way to talk to you through your hearing aid and you will end up in a haunted asylum. At the haunted asylum you will be chased around by a man with broken bones that slithers on the floors behind you and grabs your ankles. Who is this man? He has a connection to you, but how will you ever find out?

Stay tuned for more scary, spook tales from Cat Pee Pony

@Tak & @tulagirl so I was watching a show on Netflix awhile ago that explores bionic human life. It dealt with a bunch of “short stories” about new technologies that are developed to better human living. I had to stop watching the show because it was too real for me to deal with but it had many interesting ideas. The show is called Black Mirror if anyone is interested but be warned it will mess with your head.

Also, I Robot still makes me slightly unsettled too lol!!! Robots freak me out, maybe I have lasting damage from the old Chuckie Cheese animatronics.

I recently read a book series that addressed that subject. The implanted computers into a person's head and it fully bonded with all their systems. No zits, perfect hair and nails, access to any and all information, but they needed to take classes to learn how to program code and build firewalls.

I watched the whole series, with Evelyn. Very disturbing in some of them.

The one that stuck with me the most is the story with the woman and her boyfriend. I’m so unsettled and affected by that it’s not right. o_O:eek::confused:

Okay so the roofers are here and the noise is not as bad as I expected but the cats and the dog do not like it one bit. They can't figure out what is going on. Yuki saw the ladder through a window and ran off in total fear. I am not sure what he thought that was, but we have used a ladder before. So it must have been the man plus the ladder that were a combination he was not interested in staying around for. The wood on my roof was rotted clear through. No wonder there was water in the bedroom. I have no idea when I will be tearing the walls out that is next on the list of fixing up the house from water damage. Gah

Okay so my mom has dementia of some kind. She calls me out of the blue today to ask me when my birthday was. So, I told her it's the end of this month. "When is that?" I tell her "mom, I was a Halloween baby." " Yea, she says, but when is that?" So I say to her, "it's October 31st." She asks, "yea but when is that?" So, I say "in a couple of weeks I guess." Then she asks, "what day is it on?" I said, "heck if I know." I had to find that out. I tell her, "it's on a Wednesday." "This coming Wednesday, she asks?" "Ummm no mom it will be the following Wednesday." Mom thinks we are all kids again. Like my friend that had the knee replacement is 53 years old now. We all grew up together and I am the youngest. I told mom about the knee replacement and she was really confused and thought that my friend was still a kid. I had to tell her she is 53 years old now. Mom asked me how in the world did that happen? I said, I don't know but its rotten business. ROFLOL That made her laugh. Then she says she wants to come over and when is a good time for her to come over to see me. So, I give her the date knowing she might forget this information. I don't want her under any pressure about it, but somehow I just can't help but wonder if this is the last one of my birthdays she will remember. Then I wonder when she might forget me completely and not know who I am. Then my heart just breaks in half and I feel like I will surely die. It has nothing to do with birthdays or her forgetting my birthday or any of that. It's that my mother is gone from the mother I had. Even though it was tough growing up with her, she has been difficult all my life. I deeply love her in spite of it all. She is leaving me yet she is still here.

I'm so sorry. I completely understand about difficult mom's and loving them anyway. :xmashug:

It’s sad to see people whom we care about loose precious memories. My Nana has “early on set” of Alzheimer’s. It’s certainly not an easy thing to go through or watch happen as you want to help but there’s not much you can do but be there and be understanding.
