I have 2 mail order Nappers, one regular yellow and the other not so much. The second Napper is all over brown. My first thought is rust but she has no tail rust at all. I'm thinking about popping her head off just to check anyways. A few other things I've noticed is that yellow's eyes/symbol are purple but brown's are pink. It doesn't show up well in the pics but it's pretty obvious in real life. Also I noticed brown's hair plugs are spaced a lot further apart than yellow's. You can kinda see it in the second pic.

So what's up with my Napper?

I think your brown napper might have been exposed to too much sun.

There are a couple of variations of Non MO Napper. One has silver tinsel, one has gold, one has a much darker purple symbol also. For both the MO and non mail order I have seen quite a big variation in bodies. Sometimes they go an opaque color also. Is the brown one evenly brown all over?

It is prety even all over.

weird. maybe she's got mold?

I thought it was tail rust for a minute too! Not sure.. She looks cool though!

Ok, I'm definitely gonna have to pop her head off now when I get a chance. I must know!!

Wow, am I the only one thinking that she looks like the Lizard Rep From the "Escape from Catrina" episode!?!

Awesome!!

Ooh! I didn't think of that. I completely forgot about him

I don't know if rust or sun would account for the eyes and the symbol to clearly be a different color though... The cloud in her symbol is clearly a pink and not purple.

The sun can account for a different color symbol and eyes. It can break down the compounds in the paint and alter the color. This is the case in painting and also cars. Prolonged exposure in a hot climate with lots of sun can wash out or alter a color.

I did have twinkler that was brown instead of being purple/violet. I think it was becaus she was exposed to the sun too much.. Sun is pretty powerfull :O I think that same happened to your other Napper :/
