G4 Which do you consider the rare G4's

Hello everyone, I know very little about the G4 line of My Little Pony.

I am wondering which G4 ponies are rarer/more sought after?

What do you think?

Here in the States it would be the UK exclusives, I would think. Rainbow Flash, Ploomette, Sweetie Swirl, Skywishes, Star Swirl... Ugh, I'm too dumb to remember them all.

Next it would be the earlier Playful Pony line: Lily Blossom (although for her not as much since she's been re-released), Lulu Luck Dewdrop (again not as much demand as she had a re-release), Blossomforth, cupcake, HOneybuzz, Feathermay (my personal fave), Plumsweet, Flitterheart, Snowcatcher and Twinkleshine... Maybe the first Cheerilee with bangs. Diamond Rose, just because she's so pretty.

And fashion Style Applelejack, she's a hard Pony to nab. EDIT: Also apparently hard to spell... Lookit what I wrote! LOL

Then some of the Euro release Blind Bag waves are harder to find for us here in the States as well, but that's a whole 'nother bag of oats.

:lolpony:

evilbunnyfoofoo covered most of them. I'd add Trixie and Derpy/Ditzy/Bubbles/Muffin to the list. They have been released a couple of times, and I hardly see them pop up for sale. And there is Sunny Rays. She's pretty cute. I've seen some of the ponies MIB sell for over $60. And Diamond Rose is pretty <3 She's one of my favourites.

Not to mention, the G4 line is notorious for releasing the Mane 6 over and over and over again and rarely releasing new characters. But it does seem to be changing. Nurse Redheart is out, as is Photo Finish. And sometime either at the end of this year or the beginning of next the TAF inspired line is coming out and there are some non mane 6 in there.

That's true, I should have mentioned that any non-Mane Six featured in the Toys R Us boxed sets tend to be harder to get. I know I've seen people really scrap over Nightmare Moon, for instance. The Cutie Mark Crusader set from Target with Cheerliee seems a harder set to get as well, and people will pay gladly for it, just to get the three exclusive fillies.

Then there's the Midnight in Canterlot set Minty. I'd kick a puppy to get her. A criminal puppy.

I agree with everything that's been said here. Though if you're asking about the rarest in terms of how hard they are to find and what people are prepared to pay for them, it would be the Euro exclusives Star Swirl, baby Star Dreams, Skywishes, Rainbow Flash and Ploomette; the older releases Diamond Rose, Honeybuzz and Flitterheart; and the babies Silver Spoon and Twist-a-loo from the CMC and Friends set. They all go for $20-40+ (loose or mint). It's a lot of money for such tiny little pieces of plastic... Minty is actually not that expensive or hard to find on eBay, resellers are still deboxing the set and selling her for $15. Derpy and Queen Chrysalis are actually harder to come by, but they still only go for around $12 loose right now – more expensive than your average G4, but still fairly reasonable. I almost never see Mrs Cake and baby Twirly Treats, but I don't think they're that expensive either. I managed to get them from a local retailer, so they're probably still fairly easy to find.

I live in a country that's always released the Euro exclusives, but with G4 we only got some of them. I expect it's because the exchange rate with the dollar isn't as bad now as it is with the Pound and the Euro. I found Rainbow Flash easily, but I still had to import my Star Swirl as we got the normal carriage set. The playset with Star Dreams was released in such a limited amount that I saw her exactly once and now I can't find her anywhere (I'm still looking desperately for her, so if you see her down there please let me know!), and we don't get the set with Skywishes or the two pack with Ploomette at all. Though we did get the glimmer wings version of Ploomette for a time, I'm not sure if any places still carry her.

That reminds me, Sweet Song is also very difficult to find, and the glimmer wings version of Diamond Rose sells for as much as (if not more than) her normal counterpart because she was limited and Target Exclusive. Also, any pony that comes with an Equestria Girl is going to be worth more, as there are a lot of people who aren't willing to buy the doll to get the pony... myself included.

How could I forget Minty  I wouldn't kick a [criminal] puppy for her lol But she is pretty cute~

actually Sweetie Swirl wasnt HTF. She was icluded in the US ver. too.
I saw a Starswirl with the Rarity chariot. She is gorgeous in person

Sweetie Blue.
She's so rare that she doesn't exist :p

She looks like a prototype for Mrs (Dazzle) Cake.

Except she's obviously cuter.

That's what I think too and it makes total sense  but that still shouldn't give em a reason to scrap Sweetie Blue X_X

the one that keeps eluding me is Rarity's Carriage with Starswirl last playset i need to catch up to the G4s.
