I was browsing Wikipedia and found that under MLP there was a mention about Greek exclusive Happy Birthday, she is in the sitting pose and has candles for her symbol. i know it's unlikely but does anyone have a pic. How much has she gone for in the past? Is she rarer than Ladybird?

Chance to show off your pony knowledge.

when i use the search on here i'm never able to find what i want. Maybe it's just me being useless. Thanx for the info.

I couldn't find much discussion regarding that particular pony here either. It is a pretty one! I wish there were more sitting ponies made.

EDIT: nevermind, my memory is bad! Looking thru those posts again, the bday pony is guesstimated at ~$2000 in value, and there are maybe 3 or so, but 8-9 ladybirds out there in collectors hands, at least known of. Ladybird goes for around $1K. I am not that much of collector, not nearly! So that's why I don't remember it so well I guess

She is very pretty, i could never hope to afford her though. She doesnt seem to be as talked about as Ladybird. And I'll bet white would be a pain as the colours bleed.

Still i wouldnt say no if someone offered.

I think there is tons of discussion on ladybird cuz she comes up more often for sale. Several of the eBay auctions got very dramatic at the Arena board. LOL Especially that MIE (mint in egg) one.

Only one member at the pony board has the bday pony it seems. And Ladybird is pretty and cute with those nice colors and symbols.

I do wish I had tons of money to burn. However, part of the fun for me is not paying too much for ponys, "the hunt" so to speak.

Wow, she's on wikipedia even! Happy Birthday pony is so pretty.. she's one of the few that I will never own.. *dreams*

I looked at the first link. There is a sitting bowtie?

Brazilian? it's somewhere between regular Bowtie blue and baby sea pony Sea Breeze pale green.

if I remember right, her hair is rainbowy, and the symbols are multicolored?

I dont really collect G1 but i wouldnt mind having an itailian trickles, i really like her. Bowtie with multicoloured hair, ooooh.

Corect me if i'm wrong but arent these kinda like fakies, and if so doesnt anyone find it strange that fakies go for more than the real thing.

EDIT: and German Bon Bon! so pretty.

brazilians

Yes brazilian bowtie has multi colored hair--she is really quite different looking. No none of these are 'fakies' and that IS why they are worth so much. Companies in other countries were licensed to make MLP from Hasbro. It seems that certain countries only received certain molds and that there were no set guidelines given to them by Hasbro US stating what colors everything had to be and what pose--either that or lack of quality control LOL--and voila! We get the ponies we see today--which fetch a pretty penny!

I have an italian trickles, but wiht a mohawk (so typical to italians!), for trade or sale, BTW.

I do think I know what you may be referring to--there are some weird looking Latin American ponies out there that are very controversial as to whether they're knock-offs or not.

These particular ones aren't fakies, as they have scanned some old MLP literature.

I went and dug up the link for everyone: http://www.mlparena.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=71504/highlight=brazil+picture.html

Re:

Never heard of her! She's really cute, but the price...? *falls of the chair*

Some ponies we can only dream of owning :p

Yes we can dream. If i ever win lots of money she'll be the first thing i look for.

Now i get the whole thing. So is reverse Gusty one of these types. Or a Hasbro factory fault? I know Powder has been found with odd coloured tails. I wonder if i'll find some when i go to Portugal?

I've held the Greek Birthday pony. She's an awesome colour!!

Interesting

OOO Those are so Pretty

But never seen them either :?
