That's very neat and different! How do you do that? I can see you making really cool things in the future

Hi and thanks for the comment.

It's chainmaille. Each individual ring was opened, woven and closed by hand by me. I love doing chainmaille.

Ack, you knit chain mail! That's awesome. I tried my hand at some simple stuff and failed miserably.... I'll just have to stick with knitting yarn! hehe That pony is incrediable, does it stand on it's own because that's what it looks like!

I never knew people "knit" things like this from chainmaille.

Oh yes! I love to make chainmaille jewellery, sculpture and on occasion clothes. The pony stands on its own as it has a wire skeleton.

But if you like the pony maybe you will like this too.

K, that is just awesomeness squared in chainmalle goodness!! and a wire frame, now that would make sense, hehe!

Thanks everyone! Glad you like the chainmaille.

And yes I do mail shirts on occasion as custom orders. I can even make maille items for your ponies.

And I have finally dehaired and removed the head of my first bait pony.

I like the other one too! Do you have other pieces you've made that you can share? I'd like to see more!

Thanks everyone and

Hi Pikabubba, asking if I have any other pictures could be a BIG mistake :D.

This was my first chainmaille dragon:

I have lots of other pictures of on flickr and the link is in my signature if you want to have a look.

I have now taken all the symbols of my fakie and fixed the head back on. It's now a naked pony.

This afternoon I am hoping to play with some milliput. (This is after doing some llama training.)

That's just fantastic too! I'm so intrigued by your work. I'll click the links later on when I get home today so I can have some time to look :)

Thanks Pikabubba.

I now have a weird looking pony cooling in the oven.

Wow, these are really neat. I wish I had the patience to do something like that. I can't wait to see the pny custom you're working on :)

oh goodness yes I'm glad you didn't post all your pics lol
Very very talented and such lovely pieces. I like all the animals too!

oh, maybe you can help me finding the right ring size to use to make chainmaille to ponies.
its so hard to imagine the sized from a picture or just text

Hi Schpajki,

Rings sizes for chainmaille do vary quite a bit depending on weave, wire size, the finished size of the item and the results you are looking for. If you give me more of an idea on what you want to make I may be able to help.

I am definitely happy to make chain mail ponywear. I did do some a while ago for a breyer pony. I will have a look for the pics and post them up.
