I'm making a custom called Snow Bird. I think she'll turn out really lovely once she's finished.

Because I'm an impatient ding-bat, I decided to try the hair softening method with watered down fabric softener after I painted her. Which of course reresulted in me having to touch her up. On the bright side, her hair while still frizzy, is much softer.

(I also used this on a magical scenery Rainbowdash who has dreadfully dry and unmanageable hair from the get-go. Her hair is also softer.)

Anywho, she's touched up again.

I also have not found any of the hair dye colors I wanted, nor the snowflake shaped glitter. Must go out searching again. Will start on her symbol after paint has dried. I picked something so easy, there's no way I could screw it up. Huzzah!

First side of her done. Other then a few touch- ups and mistakes fixed. I'll wait till I dye her hair before doing the next side.

Dunno which pattern I should do for her?

Well now, isn't that a charming shade of green? I'll let it set a bit, before doing her tail.

And the tail is now dyed.

Oh my! The tail somehow got more green then I bargained for. How did that happen? I was trying hard to be careful! Still, she's so pretty. I just hafta wait for the red to set for a bit, then rinse before I add the purple. I also forgot to mention that I found snowflake glitter. So the wings will hafta wait till they arrive.

I can’t stop staring at this hair! I love it already and I’m kind of baffled at how you did it. Did you just dip it into the dye? Or did you “paint” the dye onto the pony?

I wrapped up sections I didn't want colored and dip dyed it first into the green. I screwed up the tail because the part nearest her rear is supposed to be white. Then I let it set before rinsing it out. Then I did another section in the red, . Now I'm doing the tips in the purple. This is the first time I'm dyeing a pony in gradients, so she probably won't look as good as other customizers when they do it. Thank you. I'm glad you like it so far.:ponylove:

Its something I've wanted to try for a long time though. Its why I needed either a Forget-Me-Not, or a Honeysuckle who's hair had gone completely white.
