So... Saturday I went to the Maryland pony meet and had a blast! I got lots of goodies (pictures to come soon) and met some really awesome pony people. Then on Sunday I was riding my horse and jumping over fences when I lost my balance over a fence and hit the ground. I got up, got back on my horse, and finished jumping the little course I had set up. However, as I walked back up to the barn, I felt really dizzy and was in a lot of pain. My friends drove me to an emergency clinic where I passed out in the xray room and had to be put on oxygen and placed in a wheelchair. The doctor believes that I just fainted from the severe pain in my side. Eventually we got the x-rays taken and discovered that I had broken a rib on my left side. I also have some pretty nice contusions (bruising) all down the left side of my body. I get to wear a fun little belt around my chest for the next few weeks while the rib tries to heal. I decided to spend a few days at my parents house since I am unable to really walk or function properly and since my father is retired, he can take care of me and my dog. Right now I am propped up in a chair so that I can type. However, despite my little accident this weekend, I did have something good come out of it. While my dad was in the local Walmart and Target yesterday, he found Styling Rarity, Secret Wish, Morning Monarch, Twirlarina, and Lovey Dovey. I was so excited to get them, it made my accident seem so much better! I will post pictures of my stuff from the MD pony meet and my new G3s when I go back home later this week, I just wanted to share how a little pony joy went a long way to healing my injury!
on the broken rib. It will hurt for a while. I broke mine in 2 places when I fell off my bike. I slept hugging a pillow for 2 months and couldn't lie down to sleep for 2 weeks. Take lots of Tylenol and take it easy.
