Hmm. Well, without having seen them in person, I think at a glance I might like them a hundred times better then G4's. Sure, they're not classical MLP by any stance, but at least they DON'T look like Hasbro's still after the "little girls in pony bodies" theme they've been flaunting for the past few years. (THAT got old really, really fast... but then again, I was a bit of a purest who thought My Little Pony Tales was waaaaay to anamorphed for it's own good).
I like that they're looking more superhero-esque - and while the cartoon version looks a little powderpuff girly, at least it looks open to more interesting plots then "Oh, Sparkleworks, we need to get to the mall!" I for one would be thrilled to see a more fantasy-based cartoon with heroes & villains, where ponies are ponies (with super powers, of course!). Sort of back to the old roots of Firefly's Adventure and the rest, back before ponies had the ability to pick up things with their hooves... >.>
So, I'm optimistically hopeful. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it all pans out!
