Unpopular Pony Opinions

I think G2 Petal Blossom is very pretty.

I like the G4 Merponies better then the G1 and 3.5s. The character distribution was awful however.

This is perhaps more of a pet peeve. But I'm sick and tired of people acting like non show toys are a mortal sin. Particularly new Winged Unicorns/Unipegs/Alicorns whatever you wanna call them. No one gets upset about new Earth ponies or pegasus.

Hasbro has been making little toy horses that have had crap-all to do with the shows for years. This is an established species. And I find it an annoying double standard for fans to whine about new toys, while crying about the lack of diversity in the toyline.

Hasbro is a Toy Company and has been before any of us were even born. Its a Toy Company. They make toys to sell.

I feel like I missed something lol

I'm not a huge fan of the Newborn Twins and here's more unpopular opinions about them.

For the multi-color pairs, I only prefer 1 twin from a couple of sets: Baby Bunkie, Baby Dibbles, Baby Sandcastle. I'd get one of Bunkie and Dibbles if it didn't violate my personal, don't separate the twins rule.

Babies Milkweed and Tumbleweed, Jabber and Jebber, and Puddles and Peeks are the only complete sets of twins I like.

I think the playful puppy pose is weird. Horses can't move like that Hasbroken.

Whoever says that Puddles and Peeks symbols are birds and wind are in deep denial. Those birds are clearly out to ruin someone's day! Especially considering their names are Puddles (when a bird poos on you outta the blue) and Peeks (I guess they moon you, which adds insult to injury.) They are hilarious! :lolpony:

I like Babies Big Top and Toppy, just not their poses.

I hate Friendship is Magic. It just doesn't do it for me at all.

Sweetheart Sisters freak me out. The long leg look reminds me of barbies.

Sundance pose. So annoying to play with. All those ponies could do was stand around watching the other ponies have adventures.

Im not into the FIM thing either but I still like some of the sets like the pearly ones or the water cuties.

well at least with the Sundance pose they are better than say the poor sitting ponies. All they can do is sit all day long.

I still like ponies like the Tootsie pose even the collectors poses.

Ive never really got into the petiete pony thing or the blind bags. All I see is there could been better ponies made from those tiny ideas.

To be fair, the vast majority of pony poses in multiple gens is just them standing there.

Early G4 is a clear example :p

I think I mentioned this before, but I don’t get why the First Tooth ponies are so underrated/disliked (besides their tooth gimmick, ofc). I think its a cute set. The poses are adorable!

Most poses in every gen aren't actively in motion in comparison to all the ones that are when compared in rough wholes. And the ones in motion get fewer toys then the standers, with the exception of the G3 Pegasus. Most of them have differences of lifted legs, turned heads, different standing poses, shifted weight on a different leg, and sitting.

I love the first tooth babies, I just don't love their one toof. But I can deal. Babies Bouncy, Tic-Tac-Toe, Quackers and North Star are sooo cuuuute!

I think Raindrop/Regentropen is every bit as pretty as Nachtlight/Night Light.

I’ve always been perplexed as to why Hasbro never made a Donkey animal friend. Seems like an obvious choice for them. Like we have Zig Zag, Creamsicle, Oakley, Woolly & Leafy - why not a donkey? Lost opportunity in my opinion. (I just really want a G1 donkey.)

You don't need a g1 donkey lol wen you have a real one at home

Fun story, I was very, very close to adopting a miniature one a couple years ago before we got Clover. Realistically I live in a house in a city without a lot of land to offer such a beautiful animal. So I will stick with dogs for now.

Another unpopular opinion for me: I’m not a big fan of Repunzel and don’t understand the desire for her. I really feel like she’s just like any other pony, although I throughly enjoyed restoring one for a friend here. But I don’t see the allure of her I guess.
