What cartoons did you grow up watching!?
What was your favorite part about them?
What drew you in?
Do you go back and re watch any of it?
Do you sing the theme song at random out loud to the surprise of everyone in the room?
Do you loving think back to your favorite episodes when your felling down?
Please tell me I want to know these answers!

It's her fault I'm OBSESSED with food themed character's!

Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Looney Tunes, Speed Racer, Thundercats, Smurfs, TMNT, Scooby-Doo, Spider-Man ('90s Fox cartoon), Batman: The Animated Series, Superman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Transformers: Cybertron (and I am still angry about the WB moving it to cable after a cliffhanger), Xaolin Showdown, and some others I caught the occasional episode of. There's probably shows I'm forgetting..

Let’s see me and my brothers and sister watched pokemon and digimon together ever week and sang the theme songs all the time. Semi recently when they made a pokemon movie that was basically a retelling of the very beginning of the show me and my brothers got to go see it in theaters together and it was so fun, we all still sang the theme song when it came on (actually practically everyone there sang along!).
I was also obsessed with a show called Horseland, Angelina Ballerina, Sylvanian Families, Magical DoReMi, Danny Phantom (which I rewatched a few episodes of recently and still loved it but omg I don’t remember it being so cheesy XD ), Strawberry Shortcake, Kim Possible, Sagwa, Magic School Bus, Cubix and the Little Mermaid tv series. Lol I grew up with a lot of cartoons I loved apparently:satisfied:
@ZeldaTheSwordsman aw I remember Xaolin Showdown, that show was cute

...Forgot to mention the PBS Kids cartoons I used to watch! Like Arthur, and Clifford the Big Red Dog, Marvin the Tap-dancing Horse, George Shrinks, Seven Little Monsters, Angelina Ballerina on occasion, Word Girl sometimes...
How did I forget to post all that? Ack

My little pony (the original, I'm old), fragile rock (the trash heap has spoken, nyah), snorks, smurfs, carebears, tiny toon adventures, gummies bears, thundercats, transformers, and later in life pokemon. I remember "after these messages, we'll be right back", and porky pig saying "that's all folks.

Fast forward 25 years and I'm watching ni hao kai lan, mlp fim, Barbie movies... now it's anime. All anime, all the time!

Yes, I randomly sing the theme songs and quote them, but it's ok since I'm a bit wacko. ;)

I think the better question is, what cartoons did you not watch?

I too am old as farts, so I watch MLP and Friends, MLP Tales, Care Bears, Inspector Gadget, Lady Lovely Locks, Rainbow Brite, Flintstones, Flintstones Kids, Scooby Doo (originals) and Kids, Pee Wee’s Play House, Muppet Babies, Smurfs, Snorks, The Raccoons, Glo Friends, Mr Potato Head Kids, TMNT, Duck Tales, Gummi Bears, Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Peppermint Patti, Doug, Gargoyles, Tiny Toons, Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, Beetlejuice, Real Ghostbusters (I was obsessed with Slimer), My Pet Monster, The Get Along Gang, Pound Puppies (original) and I could keep going. I watch a lot of cartoons on the weekends and before school. Lol

As for “live action” I always watched The Polka Dot Door (original), The Elephant Show, Under the Umbrella Tree, Mr. Dressup, PeeWee’s Play House, Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street, Muppet Show, Ghost Writer (original not the new garbage), Today’s Special, Lamb Chops Play A Long, Reading Rainbow, Beakman’s World, Ananas (it’s a Canadian téléfrancais program loved, and we always had to watch it in school too. I was a weird kid.) Bob Ross. I loved watching him paint in the morning before I ate breakfast. ;p

Having friends with young kids I have rewatched a lot of the live action stuff with them. I must say they all have loved what I’ve shown them and I still don’t mind it. It’s amazing how something’s stay in you mind for years, like theme songs. My bff’s daughter loves to sing “Skinnamarink” with me all the time - my friend sometimes call me so she can sing it. Hee hee :D

My mom showed this to me awhile ago and I loved it! :lolpony:

@Tak and @Skybreeze I had totally forgotten about Gummi Bears until recently when I saw an episode of ducktails that referenced it! I wanted to put the video here but I can’t figure out how lol so here’s the link, the reference is right at the beginning

oh never mind it worked apparently :)

Really? I’m planning on getting that once Star Wars the Clone Wars comes out on it, so I’ll definitely have to rewatch! Thanks :lolpony:

I'm watching the Clone Wars now on Disney+, just started it.

I grew up in the 80's and early 90's watching most of those same cartoons @Tak and @Skybreeze mentioned. I also watched a lot of Nickelodeon shows, Hey Dude, Salute your Shorts, Clarissa explains it all, Double Dare, What would you do, Mr Wizard. Also as a kid I watched Nick at Nite before bed so I watched Bewitched, Mr Ed, **** Van ****, many of those old shows.

In my 20's I liked to watch Gargoyles, Recess, and some of the animated DC shows.

Ooh yay! Time to subscribe to it then! (I’ve been waiting years for it to come back lol, I loved Ahsoka) Did they put the whole season on or just a few episodes so far?

Do you mean time to subscribe to Disney+? It was only released Nov. 2019, so it hasn't been out for a year quite yet (ugh have to renew my package soon). But yes, they have the complete series of a lot of the Disney afternoon shows on it. I love that I have been able to rewatch all the classics. I also have been really enjoying the Tangled cartoon series, I just finished watching that this week - I'm super upset that series is also finished and I love Rapunzel even more now thanks to that show. lol I also love that I can re-watch a lot of my favourite movies as much as I like on all my devices. ;)

Seems like most of the stuff I watched when I was little was from the 80s or stuff my mom watched when she was growing up.

Oh, that's funny the board edits my inappropriate words in one of the Nick at Nite shows LOL let's see if anyone can extrapolate
No guessing required I love that show! All I needed was the word van!
This show makes me feel so happy inside! <3 <3 <3
I also love green Acers, bewitched, and the Andy Griffith show! <3
I just realised that my life is pretty close to the green acers life!
Did you know that the tune they are whistling has words that go with it!
