no joke this was me when i went into jo-anns awhile back - went in just feeling like i'd look around, maybe just get a snack & drink- came out with that, tons of craft ribbon, fabric glue, glitter shakers, wall hooks, bracelet beads & string... :surprisepony:

Same here! Luckily living on n island helps with that lol.
Today was a day off for me so I managed to get the simple one done, may be to finish the more complicated one tomorrow!

This is so true! I think this is why I have started to veer towards assemblages away from my usual painting. It's actually a lot of fun to work with the challenge of what you have lying around. It's the magic of endowing junk with meaning and turning it into treasure. Redemption is sweet!

And yes, I needed the distraction too. If it weren't for these two tiny hats, it would have been a real bummer of a week for me. Glad to see we're not alone.

And craft and art supply stores are dangerous reefs filled with things you might use, but usually don't :tongue: ...
 
Just finished up my little hat, I’ll have to wait till daylight to get some cute pictures though :)
I’ve kinda been wanting to try making full size hats to wear cause I can never find the style I like in pretty colors, so even though this is a different style it was a good excuse to try my hand at making a hat from scratch :blossom:
 
OMG Cactusflower me too! Sadly I wish I was distracted by a wee baby, but instead I was distracted by real life stuff! I'll try to finish mine today in time!
 
Okay mine is in!! Phew!! I definitely didn't have time to make a second, but I was really only planning on the one! I hope it measures up!
 
Got mine in a couple of hours ago! Totally last minute but I'm really proud of it! I'm definitely hoping it is a winning entry haha, though looking at those past contest entries I'm not so sure! I'm looking forward o seeing what everyone else has come up with as well!

Also yes, craft stores in particular..... I just want to take a day and spend the entire day exploring every nook and cranny of my local Michael's. I feel like a kid in a candy shop every time I go! Crafts, decorations, art supplies, what more could I ever want in life?! One of these days I'm going to have to set aside some serious money and just let myself go ham, see what comes out of it.
 
I can’t wait to see them all. I got in under the wire and then spammed Gingerbread with my non-entries because I want someone to see the fun photos I took.

I’m going to continue making bonnets until Easter. I went for classic and pretty , but I’d love to do some crazy and fun ones.

I took my girls out for an hour long photo shoot and I haven’t enjoyed myself so much in a long time. I’m so happy there are many entries.

I definitely plan on posting one of my extra photos after the contest ends haha, so you're not alone! ^^ I've ended up spamming two of my small non-MLP Discord communities with them to tide me over 'till then~
