Does anyone have a no salt, no cheese, low carb recipe for a dog treat? My sweet boy is going to be 7 this year and I want to give him a little something special. So far all I came up w was a tweaked version of a salmon cake. He loves salmon and chicken best and he doesn’t have trouble with an egg to keep it solid.

Does he like pumpkin? I found a recipe last year that used pumpkin and applesauce and mine both really liked it. They come out like a soft dog bone consistency

The dog treat recipe I did for one of the swaps works great. ;) I’m pretty sure you got one? If not here it is:

I don’t think I was in that swap…. I don’t remember. I’ll take a look, thank you!

No worries. It’s there if you don’t have it and it’s honestly so easy to make and our dogs and all the dogs I make them for at Christmas love them so much.

I also do popsicles with yogurt and fruits (usually blueberries and watermelon) and oatmeal and pop them in the freezer in a silicone mould (I bought bones and paw print ones from Amazon).
ETA: These are Banana, peanut butter and vanilla yogurt ones I did in the summer for Clover, Fred and Nova and they go nuts for these. I just make a bunch and leave them in the freezer.

yougurt , cheese, and pretty much anything dairy is a big no-no for my boy. I won’t survive the gas and you can tell it’s hurting him, too.

Then I would do is blend up some watermelon and add some blueberries in it. You can also substitute the yogurt with plain apple sauce.

Our dogs also enjoy snacking on some raw veggies like sweet potatoes and carrots. They’re much better for dogs (and their teeth) than the smoked knuckles/pigs ears/rawhides.

I recently found out that Clover loves seaweed. Like the seaweed sheets you’d buy to eat as a snack. My gross dog is obsessed with it. I only give her a small amount of the plain stuff. No, she’s not a normal dog. Lol

Silly Clover! Wesley doesn’t get anything except his blueberry and salmon, char-tar, and the chicken jerky that I make for him plus a weekly pizzle per veterinarian advice since he loves chewing. Then he also gets the milk bone brand dental bone in a medium everyday. Those are peanut butter flavor. I couldn’t get him to take any other dental bones.

Here’s a link to the one I was talking about, it’s pretty quick to make too
