So, folks, it looks like these past couple of months have been the time to redo or get pony rooms, so I am just doing my duty, right?

This past weekend I got 2 white shelves from Big Lots, conveniently priced, of course.

I thought why not take pictures to share? The sad(ish) thing is, after I got all my G1s together like that, I almost had a feeling of anxiety, like I was worried about what I was going to do with that many, as if I didn't notice how many I had amassed. What am I, crazy? Looking at others' collections, all I wanted was a big pony display, but I'm totally over the anxiety. (Anyone else feel that way after putting up a display?)

Ok, here are the photos, because I'm done shooting my mouth off.

After 200 ponies!

Top shelf with my sea ponies and my only MOC.

9.jpg

All my Flat Foots, including FF Peachy! YES! I was so happy to complete this set.

8.jpg

My babies on my sewing machine (a bit shabby, but it's pretty cool.)

7.jpg

My ballerina baby with her new Mom, and my wingers.

6.jpg

Tropicals and Magic Message ponies.

5.jpg

Who thought all the Rainbows and Flutters would take up a whole shelf? That's everyone minus Yum Yum, who actually came in today, so she's there now. YAHOO!

Twice As Fancies and Randoms.

So Softs, Twinkle Eyes, Brush 'n' Grows, and some other curly girls.

Sea Ponies again, haha. They are my pride and joy.

And that's it so far. I had to kick out the G3s and G2s. Oh, I forget, there's my Dream Castle which is next to it, and some buggies and things above it, I'll get photos of them later and post here then.

I'm getting my friend to come help me reorganize it, so I may post more photos in the near future.

Thank you for looking. Any constructive criticism on where to place things is welcomed!

That is so awesome!:D

Wow, you really have an excellent collection Claire! (we're pony closet sisters by the way! hehe)

I really LOVE the way you have the Parlor set up with the original 6 plus peachy. I also like the general organization of everything.

Also, you're collection looks very well kept on the whole, which is hard to maintane when you're getting into numbers in the hundreds. LOL.

Anything constructive? Hmmmm The only thing I'd do is maybe keep an eye out for anything that can be used as risers. So the ponies in the back rows can be seen more. But that's a bit tricky to find. (I'm still hunting for risers myself)

I like how you have things arranged by set. When I had actual shelves I tried a few different arrangements. By set, type, colours etc. but I kept going back to sets, they just look so great all together in their little groups.

Right now I'm just enjoying picking different ponies out of those photo's. You have lots drool worthy beauties to look at for sure!

Looks Fab!

Looks AMAZING!!! What a great group of G1s you have there!! As for risers, you can buy spice shelves at Walmart that work GREAT! I have a bunch of them and use them for this exact reason!

Great job!!

:friends:

Awesome collection Claire! They are displayed so beautifully! I also love the Pretty Parlor with all the girls in it. And you should totally be proud of your sea ponies! Those shelves work great in the pony closet.

Just one question....how come Magic Hat's got her rear facing out? :p

Claire, you have an awesome collection! I love the idea of using a closet. I wish I had an extra closet hahahaha. I like that they are combined by sets. That's how mine is, although I don't have too many completed sets. I like the idea someone had about the risers. With those, it would be the perfect display! :)

I love it! Especially your sea ponies *makes grabby hands*

I think I told you before that now when I think of Seaflower, I think of you because of that one pic you posted of her on the beach. And look, I believe I spy her next to Sherbet. hehe

You have such a super collection. Your ponies look very nice indeed! And so organized, I wish I could say the same. Thanks for the tip too on the shelves at Big Lots, will have to check there since those are nice as well and apparently priced good!

I also really admire all your photos, you always take great pictures! :)

Thank you so, so much everyone, I appreciate all of your comments! I really do.

Skig- good luck on the flutters, I completed those as fast as I could, and actually it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to get Hollywood at a decent price.

FantasticFirefly- thank you so much for the idea about the risers, and to PlayfulHeart, thank you for the info about the spice racks. I'll have to look into that, that would be wonderful!

jljb- haha, the reason Magic Hat has her rear facing out is because I was so proud of her symbol- it isn't rubbed or anything. Hehe, plus, sometimes the ponies in that pose look funny from the front- take Sunlight and Parasol- all you can see is their hair.

Thank you all so much!

Sherbet! That's AWESOME about Sherbet and Seaflower being right next to each other- I remember your nice comments about that photo of her, it's cool that they're right next to each other, I didn't do that on purpuse, but it turned out awesome. I of course always think of you when I see her, hehe!

Mia, the ones I got were $25, which I think is pretty good, but you know it's still a little steep, especially if you're getting more than one. I think white looks really good with them; it makes their colors pop.

Thanks again everyone for looking and for all your awesome comments and suggestions!

Oh wait, I must give credit where it's due. A long while ago I posted a show and tell with my new MLP sewing machine, well it was new back then. Whippet gave me the idea to display my babies around it. Thank you so much Whippetluv, I followed your advice and it rocks.

Also, ifiorlelaluna, I saw you post a show and tell with all your Flat Foots displayed with youre Pretty Parlor, and I have to say you are the reason I got the Pretty Parlor, so I could display my Flat Foots like that too, so thank you for the inspiration as well.

Wait a minute... Where's Honeycomb??? I don't see her amid that sea of very delicious pony flesh. I can't believe what an awesome collection you have, SoSoftclaire. It Rocks!!!

Goddess Daine

Haha, thank you so much, SunnyBreeze and Goddess Daine!

Actually, I have 2 Honeycombs. Heh, a little excessive? Maybe, but when I first bought her I overpaid, then I saw a deal on one and just had to get it. Now I can take one on trips with me without fearing messing her up completely.

One is next to Gypsy and the other is behind her somewhere. I think you can see her in the picture with the TAFs.

i would love to have something like that done for my ponies. a place for them to be on displayed.

Wow, so soft claire, What a beautiful collection. I'm so impressed with the way they have been presented. I have so many of my G1 sets in bags with no room to display them. I always said when I was a little girl that I would like a display cabinet for them but now they have out grown my display cabinet.

I am so scared of grooming mine the wrong way and wrecking their hair or their symbols or something like that. I think it is a real skill being able to keep them as nicely as you do.

constructive criticism.....hmmm...nope, it looks fantastic! well done :)

Wow great great collection!! I'm so jealous about your shelves O_O

I really love how you did little name tags for your FF ponies! That is a really neat idea....*plots* hehe I'm so doing that for my TE's and Rainbow ponies.

Thank you, SS, babyblueducky and Dunrovin for such nice comments, they make me feel great!

Starglow, thank you! Actually, the name tags came with the Pretty Parlor, I wish I could take credit for them! Hehe, it would be awesome to make name tags for my other favorite set, good idea! Now I'm plotting! ;)

Aha!! haha I was wondering where you would have gotten the MLP font and the little symbols! :D

Now that I think of it, I am amazed you even have the name tags! You'd think those would be lost in pony accessory limbo like all the elastic bands on princess pony hats LOL
