Aaand the retro G1s continue...

Ok so before anyone gets too many feelings about this girl, let me just say that this was a personalized gift for my friend. He's Gitxsan northern nation and I asked specifically if he would a) let me know what authentic tattooing for his culture looks like and b) if he would be offended if I tried to emulate the traditional art style. The answer is he "LOVES her" and thinks "she's fantastic" so I'm calling that a win.
Feather and abalone charms are old jewellery of mine. This Blossom base was super faded and had no tail. She took about 10 mins to turn a lovely chocolate shade. Paint is a combo of acrylic and nail polish sealed with mod podge...it was still damp in the photos but has since dried lovely and matte
Hair is a combo of black, white (from the our Generation horse I did earlier) silver slipper (the last of it) Moondancer tail, and kirsch nylon from @dollhairemporium
She’s fantastic pretty much covers it. ;)

She’s very pretty. I love seeing ponies that aren’t the “average” pony colours. Great work!!

Wow, she’s really nice :D I LOVE her hair colors, they look amazing together!
Thank you...it's a traditional color palette for the art. Plus I tried to pattern the hair plugs after a blanket that I had seen in a museum. Imitation being "the finest form of flattery," and all...

From a box of baits leaps a fully restored Firefly...this was my first try at getting glitter symbols back up to snuff. Even my superfine glitter isn't quite fine enough but I think she looks miles better
Snatched a tail from a Majesty (that I'll post later) and here you go
Can I ask, what glue did you use for the glitter symbol repair?

It's been a busy day in the workshop. Changed my shy pose girl to a Cheerilee since sometimes, you just have to go along with what the lady is telling you...

Plus I saved tails from a Lemon Drop, Cherries Jubilee (remember my Pinkie Pie??) and Dancing Butterflies (my 2nd Fluttershy) to start work on a Princess Cadence. Anyone any good with sculpy??
Lol She'll need a horn at some point.

Plus I got a yearning for a Lady Amalthea after seeing someone's avatar and I love shining up old Moondancers....
This girl has recycled white hair from a much larger horse doll and I'll probably have enough to do 2.

Lastly, I have a Medley bait that cleaned up really well so I used " Willow " from Retrodollsuk to do a reroot. She looks a little mermaid-ish to me, but maybe I'll stick with the musical theme for her cutie mark.

Hope you enjoy...I'll post more as I progress with the painting...
I love the plain white one so much :ponylove:

I used a glue for model cars on one side and a gloss Modpodge on the other to see what I liked best. Couldn't really see any difference between the 2, but the Modpodge is definitely the cheaper option
