Action Hank's Crappy Art Thread

I just realized that I can't really work on this yet as I still haven't got a new keyboard for the laptop I do animation on and it'd really help make things go faster, so I need to stop procrastinating and just buy a new one so I can finish that animation I was working on and get this show on the road.

Hello again, after working on my video archive for quite a while I have finally got to a point with it that I feel that I can start working on this again, and so I shall! As it stands I will be working on this every other day to try to get both projects going at the same time.


Also I don't really have anything to show for the first day back except two industrial safety switches that look kind of like breaker boxes.
 
Feeling the vibrations of the thread I picked up phone to check TP! And low and behold, the Action Hank has returned. Welcome back! Looking forward to seeing what you have created!
 
I really need to give you people an updated image because I've added a lot of stuff to that last picture since you guys last saw it, so that means I need to dig out my scanner.


I worked on this project today instead of the other one since the internet was basically dead, which sucked since I need that thing for reference images for stuff my physical stuff lacks. So all that got done today were some large conduit bits.
 
Still haven't dug out the scanner so no images for you guys. But I have been working on this and so far since I last posted I've made some electric meters and fuse boxes. Should probably finish off the intercom stuff after this.

Hello again I'm here to announce that this has been put on pause while I mess with that stupid Five Nights At Freddy's mod I decided to resurrect and add way more crap to than I originally intended. (If anyone is interested in seeing what it looks like just ask.)


It seems that interest in this project is waning potentially due to my slow pace and lack of ponies , but if people are still interested in it despite those things I will continue to post about it when I come back to it.

I too am interested to see the finial out come. I’m always baffled by all the details you put into your work. It takes both, patience, skill and smarts to accomplish what you have. <3

I think most of us can understand some projects falling to the way side. I look forward to updates when you have time.

I'll be going back to working on prop creation at point soon given how irritating and unintuitive the modding Cataclysm: DDA is.

I'm not sure which you guys are referring to is it the mod or the continuation of the animation project?
 
I'm just gonna mention that I'm not very far into the mod right now even tough I've worked on if for well over a week, because that's how long it took to get just one building done and working right. The game's modding system isn't very intuitive or well documented.

To give a little more insight on the mod, it originally was made by someone else then abandoned pretty quicly and it for several years, at this point it's so out of date that I'm pretty much having to remake the entire thing from scratch since it is so broken now and wasn't really well put together when it was abandoned, I mean I've remade the entire building and will have to do the same for everything else from it.

Currently I only have a building based off the first FNAF game made with some blanks filled in with stuff that make since to be there, since the game didn't really cover much of the building, then I'll make the animatronics some will be based of FNAF and others will be based off CDDA to help it blend in with the rest of the game and give more variation despite them only showing up in one building that can spawn multiple times.

Also if people don't know Cataclysm: DDA is a randomly generated ASCII game about surviving the zombie apocalypse, that also has mutations and fights against aliens.

I will post screen shots of the building and probably some stuff about what else I'm doing to the mod like the thirty something instrument I'm adding because I noticed a lack of trombones and base guitars then lost the plot along the way, but that's for tomorrow as I'm heading off to bed.

Forgot to ask but what are the books like?


Also the screen shots are coming but I've got to feed the animals first.
The books are good so far. There's some that are just short stories for lots of different characters in the series. Silly sometimes kinda like a darker more modern goosebumps.
 
Forgot to mention that the game is ASCII with means the game is text based with images made form text.

Also it turns out getting screen shots from the game is a pain so instead I'll just post the code from the game with rooms numbered so I can give you an idea of what they are. Also I'll add a key of symbols to give you guys an idea of what this stuff is supposed to represent, the key will also just be code ripped form the game to make it easier on me.

Besides fighting the animatronics the place can be looted for various items, for the most part the loot in the place is pretty crap as most of it is plastic table ware and food that'll be spoiled pretty quickly, but when it comes to actually useful stuff you'll find various bits of metal, electronic components, tools, instruments, and a laptop in parts and services, an obscure civilian handgun, a laptop, and various office supplies in the offices, some nonperishable food, cooking tools, and a first aid kit in the kitchen, and a common civilian shotgun with ammo under the cash register in the entrance. Also various costumes can be found in the hidden room and parts and services.


Also the code tags make everything look really crap.
