Alright crafty friends, I want to attempt a project and was seeking some advice. I have an image I want to turn into earrings, since I can't find the actual earrings themselves. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? I was Google-ing resin but all those seem to need a mold and since I want the piece to be shaped like the ghost I don't think that is possible. Then I was thinking Shrinky Dink, which is okay but I'd prefer something more like the resin. Is there any other idea I'm not thinking about? I don't do much in the way of crafting anymore so I just don't know what's out there.

This is the image I want to turn into earrings. My Mom had a pair of these little ghost earrings when I was small. They were dangley and probably cheap brass on the back and I remember them being some sort of resin. They may have even glowed in the dark? But for some reason I'm obsessed and wish I had a pair so I figured I'd try making them since I've never come across any for sale. This image isn't the best quality but the only one I could find online.

I would trace and colour on Shrinkydink paper, then dome with UV Resin and add in sparkles or whatever.

Just remember you need to leave space for the earrings for the fixing of the jewelry. (I’m good at forgetting the little things like that lol)

Here’s a video:

They make it look so easy!!!
Has anyone had experience with the UV resin? I've never done any resin crafts. I also came across this, which is a powder product. I find it all very intriguing! Someone might have to make a stop at the craft store :D and then probably the hospital for chemical burns LOL

I found the UV resin easier to experiment with, especially for small things. It set almost immediately versus sitting out in the sun for 24+ hrs. I hate waiting for things when I craft... lol

Interesting video, Skybreeze! I've worked with epoxy putty and a bit with 3D printing, but not this. Looks like it might be fun to try sometime.
