its not anime, but i watch over the garden wall every year, so i feel ya on the rewatch :)
 
Let’s see :flutter2: I’ve got a lot of favorites!
-Fruits Basket! (There are 2, one from 2005 that only had one season and one from 2019 that is complete and just amazing)
-Ouran High School Host Club(super funny!)
-Snow White With the Red Hair! (this one is amazing but a little hard to find season 2 online)
-Little Witch Acadamia(I haven’t finished it yet but it’s great so far)
-Fire Force(again I’m not finished with it but season one was super interesting)
-Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (I’d warn you about a few scenes in this one but since you watched Madoka Magica I think you’ll be fine haha)
-Violet Evergarden (beautiful and sweet)
-Azumanga Daioh (this one’s pretty ridiculous but very entertaining)
-Glitter Force (maybe targeted at little kids but I enjoyed it still)
-Your Lie in April (this is the prettiest anime ever, both the art and the music)
That’s all I can think of for now, hope there’s one that you’ll like!

I'm not sure what puts me off about OTGW but I never could get into it. I'll give it another try this Halloween. I like to rewatch a lot of shows tho; Gravity Falls, Pride and Prejudice, ATLA to name a few.

I also rewatch LOTR every year. Usually right after Christmas/New years. ^^;

omg i forgot Violet Evergarden, Ive seen all of it except for the movie (the mom/daugther episode was so sad) such a great show!

and ive started snow white! im a few episodes in, i just havnt gotten back to it lol

we watch gravity falls every year :)

Its the main reason how me and my boyfriend got together lol

Omg yes that one was sad but I love the show
Ohh nice! I really liked it when I stumbled across it on YouTube a few years ago :D enjoy it when you do get around to it

Haha oh sure now it’s on there :surprisepony: at the time they only had season one so I scoured the internet trying to find season 2 or a copy of the dvd lol. But yay for you cause you’ll be able to see it easy
 
Are you looking got a type of series in particular or are films also open to being suggested?

I used to watch anime all the way through my school years and then it dwindled in college years from stuff being in the way and that… but I at least still keep up with absolute favourites and a film now and then. I have a list I did this year or so off memory and feel I’m missing stuff from so I can have a look through that

anything really!

I went to an anime convention this weekend and have realized that I'm super duper behind lol - So i figured id ask around

I know of the newer ones floating around like Hero Academia and Attack On Titan and those kind of mainstream shows that are still on tv (at least I think titan is still on tv lol)

I don’t know where most of my anime would be to watch or if there’s any genres you may not be interested in so I tried to do a mix off my list. I used to watch on free pirated sites and my main one doesn’t work anymore, idk about the others… but for series:
•Kiznaiver
•BNA: Brand New Animal
•FLCL
•Nichijou
•Daily Life of High School Boys
•Sekkou Boys
•Happy Sugar Life
•Planetarian
•WataMote
•Cells at Work! (Also a spin-off series called Cells at Work BLACK)
•91 Days
•Chocolate Underground

Shorts (May find some on YouTube?)
•Japan Animator Expo
•The First A Class
•Jurassic!

Cells at work has brought attention, we just have never started it

Wolf Children sounds familiar - ah yes, i looked it up, i seen advertisements but havnt seen it :)
 
I love anime. I don’t watch the ones that are just about dating. Otherwise, bring it on.

- A Silent Voice

- Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (a favourite of mine, may or may not be on US Netflix)

Movie NOT on (Canadian) Netflix but available around the internet. ;)
- The Boy and the Beast

Then of course as you know I’ve been binging all the Pokémon seasons, but I know how you feel about it. Lol

Non Ghibli
-Summer Wars (my favorite anime movie)
-Pokémon the Movie 2000(idk if Pokémon counts as anime but this is the best of the Pokémon movies to me)
-Pokémon the Movie:I Choose You
-Anthem of the Heart (I watched it subbed so idk if there’s a dub)
-Digimon the Movie(this one might be purely for nostalgic reasons since I haven’t seen it since I was a kid but it was just the most exciting movie ever to me back then)

The best from Studio Ghibli
(in my opinion at least ;))
-Howls Moving Castle
-Kiki’s Delivery Service
-The Cat Returns
-When Marnie was there
-The Secret World of Arriety
 
Ooh yes, Fruits Basket 2019 is a really beautiful story! It's SOO good. Probably my all-time favorite anime.

Also Wolf's Rain is good but also a bit of a gut-punch. Big Windup is very cute. Erased is dark but very thrilling. I also really enjoyed Blue Exorcist and My Hero Academia but admittedly I didn't finish them. Samurai Champloo is a classic that anyone can enjoy - it's very fun and cool. K-On is very sweet and uncomplicated - a comforting & cute little show to help you unwind after a long day. I really loved Eureka Seven but couldn't tell you a thing about it so I guess it didn't stick in my brain for very long. There's also this older one called Now And Then Here and There which was kinda dark but very compelling.

When all else fails, I love everything Digimon! Including the movie which is really exciting but probably hard to follow if you haven't seen the first season (and part of the second season) yet.

As far as movies goes, I haven't seen that many but I really liked Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and A Silent Voice. I hope that helps!

I also saw erased even though it’s not my usual type and near the end of episode 4 I paused it and thought oh no, it’s like a happy end but there’s still too many episodes left :surprisepony: I should stop watching here! Haha ^^; I did end up finishing it though
And yes! Digimon movie! My brother says it’s terrible
