Anyone got Ideas How to Convince People to give you ponies?

I know a friend who has a lot of em in her closet I want only some since I have most of them. How should I convice her? Or for that matter other people who aren't collecters who have em put away.
 
I wouldn't expect her to just hand them over. You can just flat out politely ask if she would like to sell them to you. She could be storing them because she doesn't have room to display them, wants to save them for her future children, or simply is not ready to part with them.
 
one of the girls I work with has her entire collection.. well, what's left of 'em. Never seen them, but she said they're "not so good anymore." I want them desperately, but her little sister plays with them.. I can't steal ponies from a kid. :::sniff:::..
 
I suggest you try and offer something in exchange. That's what I did with one of my friends. She got a couple of stationary kits she wanted and I got a couple of ponies :)
 
If people want to keep them so kids that visit can play with them, I always ask if I can see them, and if there is something in there I need, then I offer to trade for it.
Most poeple don´t mind what ponies they have, as long as the count is the same.
If they say they just have them stored away somewhere I ask if I can buy them, if they say no I make sure they don´t forget that I would like them, forexample if someone is moving they are more eager to get rid of stuff :)
 
I would be like "hey if you ever want to get rid of some of your ponies, I'm here." Or even ask to have them on loan to you, and take really good care of them
I would never force someone to give me their ponies, especially if they have sentimental value... although getting rid of mine is what started me on collecting them :wink:
 
I used to give my friend all the stuffed monkeys I could find, and in return she suprised me by giving me her ponies! o_O
 
One friend who used to live down the street says she will trade them for a crane machine, you know the ones filled with toys?

All of her ponies are in very good condition she has Tux n Tails and Pearlized Blossom. I have both but I could use them for trading and they are all in very good shape.

I juat haven't been able to find a crane machine LOL

The other one said she would give me some when she gets the chance to get into the closet.
