Anyone Happen to Collect Nendoroid Petites? Repair Question

It seems there are quite a few people here who collect anime figures so I hope I can find some help here.

A few weeks(?) or so ago, my nendoroid petite Akira Kogami from Lucky Star broke her neck. I’ve had her since I was a teen and one of my first nendoroids petites but over time, her joint had been getting stiffer and her hair kept going sticky. Yes, she is genuine. Just old.

So I’ve been having a hard time finding information on how to fix her because all that comes up is the normal sized nendoroids. I tried adapting it to the smaller ones but no joy. I need to somehow get the joint out the head because, after doing it wrong, found that the joint is only attached to the body

If anyone has ever repaired ones like this or have any information on how to help, it’s much appreciated
It’s a shame this happened, she’s my favourite. Here is the victim and what she should look like:

I found a tutorial on how to fix her! It's in Japanese, but has very nicely done photos of each step.
I think it should be pretty self-explanatory, but if there is any step you don't understand, just let me know.
I'll be happy to translate it for you. ^_^

Also, the author of the site says that he will not take responsibility for what happens to your figure if you attempt this.
(Just like when you clean ponies, whatever happens is your own responsibility.)

The hair-blower is actually an item known as a heat gun.
You can try a hair dryer if you want, I guess.
(I actually have both a heat gun and a dish drier, so I haven't had to experiment with other stuff. Has anyone tried a hair dryer instead?)
The paint will chip easily when hot, so be careful.

Thank you so much for looking but this is the normal sized nendoroids. I came across this when looking and tried to adapt this tutorial for the miniature ones, pretty much the same technique as was on the Good Smile Blog’s website.
I did try the hairdryer technique but I may need to try it again in case I did it wrong

I should also try this again but try different tools to see if I can get it out

Thank you again

Ah, oops! Sorry about that.

Here is another one I found. It's not much of a tutorial, but they show the tools they used to fix it.
I don't think the head will turn too much afterwards, though.

They slowly widened the hole with the pin vise, going from about .5mm to 3mm.

They felt this worked with the plastic beam since the neck doesn't stand out much on this model.
Not sure if that would be a problem or not on yours...

Ah, yes, it’s the same break
I wonder how common it is, Akira used to be pretty strong. The neck isn’t that much on show with her since she used to have her head tilted down a bit in the pose I had her in sometimes

Thank you for finding this! If I have to turn to making a hole like that then it’ll just have to be that way
