G3 are 2006 G3 releases smaller than previous years?

sorry in advance if this is a dumb question, I just realized I don't have any G3s from 2006 onward, and I picked up a 2006 Merriweather today. I noticed she's significantly smaller than my other ponies who are in the same pose. just wanna make sure this is an actual thing and she didn't magically shrink or something lol (though given her conditon, shrinking wouldn't be too farfetched)

It might be a pose thing. Some look a little shorter then the others. Let me check and I'll get back to you.

Okay I never noticed this before but I think they might really be smaller! Here’s a comparison photo of a 2006 Yesterdaisy and 2006 Royal Twist next to a 2003 Cotton Candy, all three in the Wysteria pose. Maybe it had to do with the turning heads on the later releases? What do you guys think?

I put a couple of my same posed ponies together. Didn't notice any difference. Maybe something got messed up in the factory? I don't know.

this makes me wonder if it's just the Wysteria pose, since my smaller Merriweather is in that same pose as well! here are my pics for reference next to 2005 Flitter Flutter. ignore Merriweather's condition lol she's quite the restoration project
