So, I've sunfaded both a baby Glory, and a baby Moondancer long term (everyday for months, I use sunlight), and they...have changed from that? Their bodies just feel different than they used to; I have a pony of each that didn't get sunfaded and they feel totally different to me. Like the sunfaded ponies are softer, or slicker, or something? They're not leaking plastizier or anything, they're not sticky, but...they just feel different?

It's so weird to me! Has anyone else experienced this?

UV is a catalyst for reactions. What we're all doing is a limited photodegredation to brighten up the vinyl.

Whether they feel like they're leeching plastizier or not, the plastizier is being broke down. Depending on the plastizier used, apparently even some methyl groups get degraded.

And yes, it's super common to white G1s. Probably related to that batch of vinyl's plastizier volume and the fact that some light can travel all the way through the white vinyl.
