I know some people favor Dawn or OxiClean . I typically use liquid hand soap, a magic eraser, conditioner, and hot water. Right now, though, I have some bars that haven't quite made the cut to be shower soaps. I have soft water, and I don't get much limescale buildup from the soaps, but what do you all think? How bad is it to use bar soap to clean ponies? Could this potentially damage them?

I think a soft toothbrush rubbed onto a bar should be fine but I haven’t tried it myself. I think I’ve seen RetroGeekCrafts do that too but if someone else has done it please give input because I haven’t

The toothbrush is a good idea, get a good lather going on

I have used bar soap for a few years before I finally switched to liquid soap recently just to see how it works and save my fingers. I usually have a washcloth or a shower poof that I put the soap on first and use that. The gentle scouring usually helps as long as you’re careful not to rub paint too hard.
