Hey you know that scene from the Simpsons when the doll comes with a new hat and everybody still wants her? I think that’s the majority of us. XD
 
I love the packaging..! And that Cotton Candy looks so pretty..!!
 
It amuses me a bit that they got Starflower and Moondancer names wrong and mixed up in the mystery box display. I mean one even has a moon on it and one does not... I pity the staff member who got the name cards mixed up and just went with it without checking. The celestial ponies look great :) Aurora cutie mark bugs me a little as it has nothing to do with orbital bodies and stars but hey it still looks good. Still nervous about any site offering preorders for the celestial ponies though, especially since release is not a definite in any locale yet.
 
That Pearlized Blossom/Cotton Candy/Glory set in the cute stable box! aaaaa I need that like air. :hearteyes:<3

I see a couple sets on Ebay from a US reseller, but no idea where they got it from! No idea if it's an imported UK version, or if they somehow got their hands on stock ahead of US release? I would really like to know!

First impression… they’re beautiful and I love them, but their hair is not anchored and pulls out super easily :unsure:

Oh, and the forelocks have some kind of stiff product in them to keep their shape so they’re kind of crunchy. The rest of the mane is a half-curly unruly mess that isn’t pleasant right out of the box.

Plus the ribbons aren’t regular ribbons, they’re sewn into the bow shape and attached to an elastic band. Even Glory’s teeny tiny ribbon.

I found them on an endcap no where near the regular pony section, fyi

Well the second half is par for the course for these Basic Fun. For some reason they insist on putting some sort of…Hair gel? That glue that you get on certain cosmetic and paint brushes to keep shape during transit? I’m not sure what it is but it either brushes out or washes out pretty decently. Those fake tail ribbons as well have been standard.

I do have a question about what you mean that the hair easily pulls out though. Do you mean the tails pop out, or you found several loose strands in the mane?

Basic Fun does this to all their ponies. I found if you snip the stitching, you can get the ribbon itself and it can be tied like a normal one.

I hope this isn’t like the G4 set Magic of Everypony because I spent ages scraping that stuff out the three I found in a charity shop…

The pearly paint looks pretty nice though on these. Thanks for sharing! :Flutter4:

We leave those big ones in the box for display but after purchase I enjoy taking them out once and touching their shellacked hair. XD

The ones I found in the charity shop, they were all a mess and petty gross, some bits had yellowed and because I was scraping it out they was like bits of, dare I say it, like boogers

I bet they must have felt so much different when brand new and MIB

Not the tails popping out, but while using the brush on them to try and tame the crazy mane, a strand would catch and just slide free, pulling out completely with no resistance. I’ve known it to happen occasionally, but after ending up with a small pile, I stopped messing with it for fear of losing a whole plug.
