Oh yes, that must be it. I thought maybe there was a secret one. I then noticed Glory looks more pearly than the others but I also thought of there was a secret one would it really be shown

I would be annoyed. I hate chase figures. Not the figures themselves, but the practice of it. And yeah, I know it's not unique to MLP. As my daughter collected Shopkins for a while, and my bf is a m.u.s.c.l.e man collector.

It makes it feel worse when it’s your favourite character/figure too. If there really is one in the set I hope it’s not the pearly Glory

When I saw the Celestial ponies, I had to compare them to the concept art again. I had no idea that this year there was a Hasbro prototype one shown this year!

Maybe they really were intended to be marbled?

The pattern is so pretty. Almost reminds me of the HQG1C zebra pattern. The bottom one is my favourite.
 
I like the subtle gradients on 2 of the Celestial Swirls

There are two variants I noticed in the zebra-like pattern as well. The one you've used shows thicker, fainter lines that face out as they reach the head... I noticed the other version of them from the same even has thinner, whiter lines that cover the head. A small detail, I'm not sure if someone mentioned it already. Gonna have to catch up on this thread later.

I wondered that too! Poor Spike, someone help that sculptor figure out what Spike actually looks like! :lolpony:

Aw, a set of my fave pose vs. my least fave pose. And they gave the best design to the latter.
 
Okay, confession: I've never been interested in the Basic Fun ponies because I've wanted the authentic, produced-when-my-mom-was-in-middle-school ponies. This? This changes everything. I gotta keep a closer eye on development now! Also I would lay my life on the line for that Glory plush, she's so cute :cry:

Ok but haven’t all the other basic fun ponies been released in sets of 4? Do you suppose there’s a 4th Celestial Pony not shown here?! I don’t collect the BF ones but I’m definitely making an exception for these ladies!
